Grin

I know I would appreciate prayers as I face the prospect that the Littlest Dippy starts school in a few short weeks (w/c 12th Sept to be precise). Feeling a little wobbly to say the least ......

Hi all, been lurking, but not posting much! Extremely busy with packing to move house on Saturday!
Please can I have some prayers for a smooth move, as lots of things don't seem to go how we would like Wink

Mhd glad dd is getting on better at school! (hugs)

blackeyedsanta · 08/12/2011 22:28

good luck with the move blue.

oh dear it has been one of those days. ds has been out of sorts after being left to his own devices a lot whilst i had my head in a bucket/cleaning out dd's bowl. he was up til 11.45 last night, several hours after he was put to bed, and he has been in trouble at school today for ignoring the teachers and smirking at them. Sad Blush (but hopefully they will remember that when whoever he has been referred to writes to school. ) we attended dd's school performance. ds was not too bad but it is stressful keeping him quiet. he has also had a huge bout of toddler diarrhoea and a major meltdown through sheer exhaustion.

on the plus side, everyone went back to school, though I am still a little green at the edges and we have been to buy some Christmas lights from the local independent diy store, along with a cheap wreath that I have decorated with pinecones that the children smeared with glitter glue. dd was amazed by the lights. oh and ds ate his tea with his medicine stirred in so there was no stress over him not finishing his "milkshake" tonight!

Get well soon, BES. Sorry to hear you've been so unwell.

Glad things are going better for your dd, MHD, though also sorry that you can't hear her carol-singing. That must be so hard for you (though you must also look after yourself!).

Prayers for your move, Blue.

Want to thank God for keeping my dd1 safe today. She was hit by a car on the way to school and it was all very dramatic and traumatic, but she has basically walked away with cuts and bruises. It could have been so much worse and I am so grateful that she is OK. I'm also grateful to the people who looked after her when it happened (kind passers-by), to the paramedics and the doctors and nurses... Everyone was amazing. I am still a bit freaked by it all, but at least she is home now and OK.

DutchOma · 10/12/2011 08:02

Very sorry to hear that TUO. Hope that she gets on alright.

I think we should pray for Nickelbabe. She does not post on this thread usually, but on the Grham, Gloria thread. She was planning on a 'live' birth thread, homebirth, but it has all gone a bit astray and we have not heard from her since last night.

amberlight · 10/12/2011 08:11

TUO, blimey re your daughter Xmas Shock God be praised that it wasn't bad. Have a Brew!

Praying for everyone who's mentioned here. Doing alrightish after yesterday's herceptin and radiotherapy.

thejaffacakesareonme · 10/12/2011 09:35

Belated prayers of thanks - the winds we got up here on Thursday were pretty scary. Lots of things happened that could have resulted in people being seriously injured or worse but it seems as though no one was seriously hurt. Quite a few lorries were blown over, several garage roofs were blown off, the Edinburgh to Aberdeen train hit a metal shed that had been blown onto the line and some of the Christmas decorations in Aberdeen felll onto one of the main shopping streets.

Prayers of thanks also for your daughter TUO.

Prayers for Nickel. Hoping she's too busy cuddling her baby to post.

blackeyedsanta · 10/12/2011 13:27

madangelhairday · 11/12/2011 11:52

Gosh jaffa and TUO - prayers of thanks that all is well.

Praying for nickel, DO - she is on there now, in labour it looks like, hoping still to home birth.

BES - so glad Secret Santa arrived at a good time Xmas Smile

Having a good weekend here where I am feeling well enough to cope. It's so great. Had a party last night, had invited all the neighbours but not many came, guess its a busy time of year, but was fun in any case. Got guests for dinner then off to a Christingle later. Lovely to be out and about. Just appreciating that.

blackeyedsanta · 11/12/2011 12:33

glad you are having a good weekend madangel

wanted to go to church but dd has now got diarrhoea [when will it ever end emotion] another disturbed night and changing children in the middle of the night. hoping she wwill be better forthe christmas lunch on tuesday and party on wednesday.

madangelhairday · 12/12/2011 17:34

Please can you pray for me, lovely people.

Saw gp this morning and he decided I need IV treatment now, as things have come to an end really with months of oral abs just not working and feeling crap all the time.

Thing is IV treatment for my condition is 2 week course.

Some authorities take you in to the hospital for 2 or 3 days and let you go home and send nurses out to administer IVs. Some train you to do it yourself (I did it at Nottingham so can perfectly well do it myself)

But some don't, due to utterly daft budget issues which make no sense whatsoever - costs more to take up a bed - and keep you in for 2 weeks.

So I do the maths. 2 weeks from now?

I don't want to be in hospital on christmas day.

My children will be so sad.

I don't want to be.

Please can you pray something can be sorted for me.

Sorry for me me post.

Have to go in tomorrow

blackeyedsanta · 12/12/2011 20:09

Sad oh madhair. that is grrr. will get onto the praying. is your authority one of the awkward ones?

blackeyedsanta · 12/12/2011 20:13

won't they want to get rid of you before christmas though?

blackeyedsanta · 12/12/2011 20:14

[hopeful emotion]

MaryBeWaiting · 12/12/2011 20:16

PositiveAttitude · 12/12/2011 20:37

Prayers from here, too MHD. Sad

Bluetinkerbell · 12/12/2011 22:07

Praying mhd let me know if there is something I can do!?

blackeyedsanta · 12/12/2011 22:47

still praying mhd

madangelhairday · 13/12/2011 09:39

Thanks all. Just had a call from the hospital and they're calling me back this afternoon about seeing the chest consultant urgently today. Not sure what's going on as gp said I'd be admitted in the morning. These things always so slow. Had a rubbish night with chest so painful. Just praying things will be quick because the slower it is the longer the course takes. Aaaagh I hate this waiting and not knowing and being bandied around. Wish it was all sorted with Heartlands it would be so much easier. Frustrated and tired and fed up.

gingerbreadhousecurl · 13/12/2011 10:25

Oh, MHD, praying.

blackeyedsanta · 13/12/2011 11:07

still praying mhd. I hope things go as you hope.

PandaG · 13/12/2011 11:50

praying MHD. xxx

amberlight · 13/12/2011 13:56

MHD much prayer...

madangelhairday · 13/12/2011 15:39

Thanks all. Still here :) Just had a call saying consultant will see me in the morning and that he hopes to sort me out with home care if possible. Trying not to get hopes up but that would be the ultimate bestest thing, to have home IVs, and not go in at all, mustn't get hopes up too much though as I know how these things work. Bit fed up at the wait, not knowing is the worst bit and want to get sorted, just looking forward to feeling better. Thanks for prayers.

Bluetinkerbell · 13/12/2011 21:30

I hope they can sort you out mhd the offer of helps still counts!
praying!
