It's basically a "what happened in church/spiritual life/anything else you want to chat about that's vaguely related (or not) to churchy stuff.

Not great news. Although cervix closed, vague flicker of a hb and potential foetal pole, sac irregular and baby measuring too small. They expect me to mc naturally within a week. Have appointment to go back next Tuesday.

I've got my 13 week scan this afternoon.
my sisters think it's going to be twins.
I can't cope with that idea!

all markers were normal, and they said "so far so good"

was totally panicking about the Down's markers, because we'd both agreed that if it showed up abnormal, that we would go ahead with it without further tests (we have agreed that we couldn't terminate, so there's no point having tests), but at the same time, a niggling feeling in my mind that I don't know how I would cope with a child with Down's. So I'm glad I don't have to worry about that aspect now.

I've just been looking on Youandyourwedding forum, and am impressed to see I have been namechecked in a thread about hymns!
(oh the fame could go to my head!)

I am fuming over a snotty email I had from our PCC secretary, because Outlook had picked her old email address to send to, rather than the one I usually use. I felt like I was one of the children at the school where she is a TA. I've binned it rather than reply, I don't think my reply would have been very Christian!

I'm in a pissed off mood this morning due to chest being too crappy for our camping holiday tomorrow, and weather not looking like it will help. Want to shout at something. Rant. This thing always stops all the fun. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :(

I jsut spent the last few hours making service sheets for Sunday - our Reader and his wife are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this weekend, so, for the service, we're having the hymns they had for their wedding.
Some of which aren't in the Hideous book (or are messed around with if they are!), so I've made special orders of service.
Only with the hymns in, explaning the service will be as normal, except the processional will be the Wedding March instead of a hymn, and the 2nd and 3rd hymns will be done together (their 3rd hymn isn't long enough for a collection hymn)
and I've done a choir version too - they've got I Bind unot myself today as their final hymn, but only verses 1,5,8 and 9, and the English Hymnal has it on 5 pages!, so I've had to copy all that out, and remove the surplus hymns from it.
then stapled it all.
I'm not folding it - the sidespeople can do that!

and my back is aching a little bit now too.
but phew!

I'll post this on the prayer thread too, but a very quick answer to prayer here today. Not healing, but old friends have offered the use of their cottage in the lake district for a week....my bro is actually there this weekend so we can spend it with him then stay the week...can't quite believe it. Thanks God!! :)

(re:order of service from above - turns out the tune in the English Hymnal for Come Holy Ghosts our souls inspire isn't the "normal" tune, so i've had to print out 20 copies of the "normal" tune just in case, and we have to ask the wife which tune she wants)

Mary - sounds like the best thing to have done is to ditch the email.

Still waiting for the inevitable to happen here. I feel a bit like a time bomb waiting to go off. Very up and down either feeling quite logical about things or an emotional wreck. A couple of people have said they think I'm mad to have kept going to work but it's kept me distracted and sane. Just hope the mc doesn't happen whilst we're away this weekend.
