MN Christian Prayer Request Thread: : Back to school soon

It's been a while since I did an update for the prayer thread; I hope that God will remember those I forget:

Thanks be to God for wonderful exam results for MrsCadwallader and for PositiveAttitude dh's new job.
Prayers for Jentlydoesit's DP to find a new job before the money runs out.

Several regulars on the thread find life quite tough at the moment for one reason or another, let's bear each other up in prayer and practical help where possible: CaptainDippy, M44 (whose very much loved mother-in-law died last week), PositiveAttitude, Teaandcakeplease, Madhairday, Blueeyeshadow, Shieldbug (please pray that all fibroids and cysts will disappear before the next consultant's appointment)

Special thoughts go to Swaliswan for the healing of her marriage and for a safe pregnancy and delivery. Also for Hermya321, it's getting close now, only a few more weeks to go.

We pray for the family in MaMoTTaT's church who lost a daughter at a relatively young age. MaMoTTaT will be better known as FAQ or ToccataandFudge,( how I loved that name)

Last but not least we pray for Amberlight in her worry about ds who is struggling with eye problems for which he needs an operation and who is also having tests for hormonal problems. Please pray for as good an outcome as possible, so that he can carry on with his A-levels and rugby. And for peace of mind for Amber, who really could do with the pressure off for a bit.

So let's give thanks to God for His presence among us and get praying....

PA you're allowed to get stuff out, it sometimes helps :) It does seem he's been insensitive, sometimes the busyness of life just takes over. I'm so sorry you're in so much pain and everything is so hard for you at the moment. If you want to talk about health stuff I know how hard it is and am happy to chat off board, are you on FB? Or message me on here. Praying for you....

Mary, you know I'm praying for you and am sure this situation will work to your good - hang on to God in it all, I know it is hard for you.

Amber, how are you? Have been thinking of you after what you've been going through. Don't let it pull you down. You are lovely and a precious child of God. :)

gingercurl, how is your sister? what a difficult situation for her.

DCs have an inset day today so off to softplay with a friend. I would value prayers for her - she's the one with an anorexic daughter, and is going through such a difficult time - the daughter has not eaten for 10 days now and is being tube fed :( I wish I knew how to help her more. :(

I'm not good, but 'putting a brave face on it', and steering clear of another message board where the hate is raging still.

Keeping very much in prayer the family of M, a young lad whose parents buried him a couple of weeks back after he took his own life after not being able to cope any more. I know what it feels like.

I noticed this thread on Active Convos and I thought it might be worth asking for prayers for my friend's son. I'm not religious, but my friend is very religious and I know she would appreciate prayers very much.

After Mass yesterday, her 5 year old son's heart stopped and he stopped breathing for no apparent reason. He was taken to hospital where he was stabilised and then transferred by air to another hospital in a large city. He had to have heart by-pass surgery and is still unconscious while the doctors try to discover what's wrong.

I think my friend would really appreciate prayers on her son's behalf. Thanks.

Praying hard for Lily Allen also. I'm so upset for her, as an issue so close to my heart I'm upset that her baby's death has been reported by the papers as a miscarriage. No-one will ever understand the impact of stillbirth if it is not reported properly.

Feeling very emotional today anyhow. DH's lumbar puncture was not successful this morning and he now has to wait a further two weeks to try the procedure again. Praying for God's hand in everything.

A bad day for you CazandBelle, I am sure the Lily Allen news has opened up a very raw wound for you. Sorry about your DH, too. I know only too well what it feels like to have tests fail and have to wait.

I did a few hours at my second job today and I just ended up cross again because people just dont seem to understand!! I want to be able to do a bit of work and am trying not to let people down, but I am seriously thinking that it would be better off me just not going into work at all until after recovery from the op. Is it because I work with men, do you think? This lot are all young, too. They just seem to expect way too much from me at the moment. I have tried to explain that I feel crap, but they have goldfish memories and 2 seconds I am handed a mountain of work to wade through!!

Sorry Caz about the news af yet another stillbirth; whatever you call it, it is utterly devastating. Sorry the lumbar puncture failed too, you really have so much to cope with.
PA it's not just men who will take advantage of your good nature. If you feel you can cope with the time off till the operation I would secure that from the GP.

Please can I ask for prayers for Bob and me too. He thoroughly overdid things while I was at the choir festival on Saturday and is not feeling at all well even now. No idea what is causing him to feel so much worse now, but of course he has not been feeling well since the heart operation nearly five years ago. I'm very much at a loss how to cope, especially as the cough that flares up from time to time is keeping me awake at night.

MHD Is this the friend you mentioned before? I'm sorry things seem to have gotten worse. I pray that God breaks into this situation.

Minor prayer point for me, things are quite tiring for us at the moment. DS is going through a feeding frenzy and my energy and paitence levels are being sapped. I would appreciate prayer that we get through this period.

Will try to post more later, and I haven't forgotten you all, but I think Amber could REALLY do with our prayers at the moment. God give her strength to get through the pain and hurt and to feel the love that both He and others have for her...

Yesterday was one of the scariest day of my life, - just so grateful for friends and support team who 'held me together' after events elsewhere. And grateful for a lovely site owner elsewhere who apologised for his team and what they said and did.

Keeping everyone in prayer, but would definitely ask whether people can spare a prayer for me as well. I don't ever want to be that close to ending it all again

Amber I am so glad you are OK :) You have had a lot to deal with. So glad you have so much support and that you got an apology. Keep on going, keep on knowing God is with you, and that you are lovely. x

Yes it is the same friend, her daughter is in hosp on a feeding tube now. :( So awful. Please, please pray for her. :(

Good news! My sister and her colleagues have decided to accept job offers from the "new" company. My sister says that she finds it easier to breathe since she made the decision yesterday. BUT... they are prepared for a tough time ahead as they hand in their resignations.

So many of us (and friends) are going through tough times at the moment, but here's some good news to inject some cheer. Henry (Harry) Richard was born at 4:11am on Thursday after an extremely speedy labour (mere minutes after my waters broke I think, although things got a bit confused). He's absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately he won't feed from the breast, which is really getting me down. I was kept in hospital until yesterday while the midwives tried to sort it out, but they couldn't. It also means that I have to spend ages expressing milk for him, so get even less sleep than usual with a newborn. I know it's quite a small thing compared with some of the other prayer requests at the moment, but please pray that he starts to feed normally.

So sorry to hear of all the difficult times people are experiencing at the moment. I will pray for as many as I can remember when I'm up in the night with Harry. Just to say that Amber you will especially be in my prayers that you will experience a fresh knowledge of the immense love God has for you. ((hugs)).

Congratulations Sheildbug. Lovely name, too. Prayers that you both settle and have some sleep!
