MN Christian Prayer Request Thread: : Back to school soon

It's been a while since I did an update for the prayer thread; I hope that God will remember those I forget:

Thanks be to God for wonderful exam results for MrsCadwallader and for PositiveAttitude dh's new job.
Prayers for Jentlydoesit's DP to find a new job before the money runs out.

Several regulars on the thread find life quite tough at the moment for one reason or another, let's bear each other up in prayer and practical help where possible: CaptainDippy, M44 (whose very much loved mother-in-law died last week), PositiveAttitude, Teaandcakeplease, Madhairday, Blueeyeshadow, Shieldbug (please pray that all fibroids and cysts will disappear before the next consultant's appointment)

Special thoughts go to Swaliswan for the healing of her marriage and for a safe pregnancy and delivery. Also for Hermya321, it's getting close now, only a few more weeks to go.

We pray for the family in MaMoTTaT's church who lost a daughter at a relatively young age. MaMoTTaT will be better known as FAQ or ToccataandFudge,( how I loved that name)

Last but not least we pray for Amberlight in her worry about ds who is struggling with eye problems for which he needs an operation and who is also having tests for hormonal problems. Please pray for as good an outcome as possible, so that he can carry on with his A-levels and rugby. And for peace of mind for Amber, who really could do with the pressure off for a bit.

So let's give thanks to God for His presence among us and get praying....

told ds about the miners this morning , he said" i am so happy that i feel sad"!
i told him it is possible to cry with happineess, and he thanked GOD again at bedtiME for their rescue, and went off saying "halluEijah JESUS".

Mary I'm glad you're feeling better.

I ended up in hospital last night with rib pain and a headache. I spent all night on the monitors and they can't really figure out whats wrong with me, just that it's nothing obvious. LO is fine and dandy, very much head down and is a right show off. Every time they put the monitors on him, he showed them his dancing skills to the point where he nearly knocked the sensors off of him.

I'm back home now, but am feeling very fed up. I think I have reached the end of whatever tether I have been hanging around on. Prayers for LO to make an appearence would be good, but failing that some paitence would be nice.

I hope you're all well.

Hello everyone.... can I ask a question please? I wonder how many of the miners were atheists when they came back up ' coz I don't think there were any! If anything the whole (miraculous) rescue proves to me there is a God and that faith and hope do always win through.

On a completely different tack - I smirked yesterday when I saw two copies of The God Delusion for sale in the local Oxfam shop. (I'm so childish!)

Can you guys pray for a friend of mine, her three week old niece died a few days ago. I don't really have any details, but could you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks.

Prayers all round...

Been in hospital most of the day with hubby. He's been having his gallbladder operation. It didn't go to plan and there were a few scary hours but he's recovering now. Another frightening day in the life and times of two autistic people... Sad but hopefully he can come home tomorrow if things go well...

Thank goodness he is on the mend Amber, thank you for updating, you really have been on my mind.

He's now not on the mend. Seems the operation has gone wrong and they'll need to keep him in and do another one...
I'm not quite sure how I'm keeping going.

Many prayers for your friend's sister, Shrine and of course for Amber. God is still with you, whatever it looks like, He will not leave you.

prayers for you and your DH amber - the Lord will continue to strengthen you.

please continue to pray for my friend. Her OH has been told yesterday that his cancer has spread. I know they are both very frightened and their new baby is only a few days old. They have a lot going on. His treatment will finally be starting early next week. Please pray for Gods hand in their situation and that her OH will be given a good prognosis.

I've enjoyed reading my bible again this morning, my notes directed me to turn to 1 Peter 4, but anyway I was praying again for DH and that he'll feel Gods presense too, when I saw and read 1 Peter 3v1. "Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives."

:) Encouraging words.

Please pray for DH's health issues too - since April he's had no feeling in his hands and now struggles with fine motor. He's had lots of other sensory issues going on as well around his body, including double vision - with everything that happened to us with Belle, his issues kind of took a back seat for a while but a letter arrived this week saying that even though tests he's had are indicating inflammation in the tissues in the top of his spine causing the problems, they consultant has now ordered a lumbar puncture to try and have a more conclusive result for cause and diagnosis. We're both very worried.

I really am looking forward to 2011 and a new year and new start if I'm honest.

Good morning to all,God is good ALL the time,i have not managed to post here because i am studying and have exams in early november,plz pray for me that all goes well coz this exam is goona decide whaat and where my future is gonna be,well not really but i think you get it,i must pass this entrance exam so i can be able to do my Aleves in another language,which is so difficult for me,
