MN Christian Prayer Request Thread: : Back to school soon

It's been a while since I did an update for the prayer thread; I hope that God will remember those I forget:

Thanks be to God for wonderful exam results for MrsCadwallader and for PositiveAttitude dh's new job.
Prayers for Jentlydoesit's DP to find a new job before the money runs out.

Several regulars on the thread find life quite tough at the moment for one reason or another, let's bear each other up in prayer and practical help where possible: CaptainDippy, M44 (whose very much loved mother-in-law died last week), PositiveAttitude, Teaandcakeplease, Madhairday, Blueeyeshadow, Shieldbug (please pray that all fibroids and cysts will disappear before the next consultant's appointment)

Special thoughts go to Swaliswan for the healing of her marriage and for a safe pregnancy and delivery. Also for Hermya321, it's getting close now, only a few more weeks to go.

We pray for the family in MaMoTTaT's church who lost a daughter at a relatively young age. MaMoTTaT will be better known as FAQ or ToccataandFudge,( how I loved that name)

Last but not least we pray for Amberlight in her worry about ds who is struggling with eye problems for which he needs an operation and who is also having tests for hormonal problems. Please pray for as good an outcome as possible, so that he can carry on with his A-levels and rugby. And for peace of mind for Amber, who really could do with the pressure off for a bit.

So let's give thanks to God for His presence among us and get praying....

Following a change in my diet - really making an effort to ensure everything I eat is gluten free, my stomach issues have all but cleared up, although still slightly sore. Finding it all a bit daunting, the possibility of Coeliac disease, but am worried both that this IS what is causing it, and that it ISN'T or what happens if the test comes back negative... its really bothering me, so if you could pray please... I know to turn to God in my need, and am doing so in prayer, but there is also the practicality of living with whatever is up with me...

Hermya prayers for you, that there will be exciting news later today, maybe.

Mary I am glad you are feeling better, but can also understand your concerns. I am praying for a quick resolution for you.

Caz - I truly believe that God is challenging your DH. This is EXACTLY the words my DH said to me when we were in your position (after death of first born daughter). It was just one step to him becoming the man of God he is today.

Update from me..... Pain, pain, pain. Cant wait til Tuesday. I am assuming it is not malignant as I have not had the phone call. I had wanted to push for something to be done (ie: surgical removal of tumour) after 1st November as I am supposed to be away on a staff retreat next week (18th) and then DH is away for work the following week, but I dont know if I can keep going that long. I will see what the consultant says, but will be prepared to not go on retreat if I have to. Prayers for the right answers on Tuesday please, and for this to be removed as soon as possible.

Things tailed off last night and the contractions stopped. But I've had a look on the internet and it seems this is quite normal and all part and parcel of the process. So I feel quite positive that we're heading in the right direction. I woke a few times feeling quite crampy, but nothing else. Still praying that he comes tonight so he'll get the easy to remember birthdate though, but if not we're heading in the right direction.

Caz This must be so hard for your dh without the comfort of knowing Belle is in heaven. I pray that he will soon know God's comfort and presence. I pray too that you will know further blessings of the womb.

Oh PA, praying for you. Praying that Tuesday comes quickly for you, that the pain will die down before then and that swift medical action will be possible. Hang on in there, I hope the knowledge that so many sisters in Christ are praying for you is some help. May you know the loving arms of Jesus are holding you close right now.

tacp it's good to hear of little Noah's progress. Still praying. Prayers for you too.

Unfortunately no action on the baby front here (despite being due before Hermya!) I'm finding the rash is getting me down as I can only sleep for about an hour or so before I wake up scratching. It's spread pretty much everywhere now and none of the creams seem to help. Please pray that I go into labour soon (I'm 39 +1 so there's no reason why it shouldn't be soon). Poor dh is having to put up with lots of tears and complaints at the moment!

Great news Noah was discharged home today, he weighed yesterday 5lbs and 10oz :-)

Please pray that he settles into home life well and feeds and sleeps well and that Donna and Rich can finally enjoy the time with their new baby fully now he is home sweet home. Pray God fills that place with his presence as they bond with their gorgeous gorgeous boy.

He does have some underlying health concerns which hopefully will iron themselves out as he gets bigger though.

It's been a while since I've posted (I say that every time!).

Praying that there will be some exciting news from Hermya soon

We're in the middle of DH being away for just over two weeks. I'm surprised by how well I feel that I'm coping. I'm on annual leave this week so I'm looking forward to having some time to do housework without any little helpers around. I'm off to do some Christmas shopping today before I get too big to happily drag myself around the shops. I'm praying that both DDs stop getting ill with every bug going but I'm quite proud of how well I've coped with that joy with DH away.

I'm also praying that my aunt comes out from hospital today. My mum has been trying to help me out and has been running around taking my uncle to the hospital because he can't drive since he had a serious boating accident a couple of weeks ago. My mum must be exhausted and I'm very grateful for all the help that she has given me with the nursery run.

We've got big things happening here which is very exciting but I'm not quite ready to share it as publically as this yet.

Thanks for the prayers, I have just had a lovely night's sleep and feel good this morning. Not as painful as it has been and only 27 hours to wait!!!
I'd appreciate prayers that i do get the answers tomorrow and come away with a plan as to what is going to happen. Today I feel as if I really wnat to go on retreat next week, but I will make a decision after tomorrow.

Swaliswan - glad you're doing ok and coping with dh being away - mine also away for 2 weeks so sympathise.

Update on my friend, her daughter and grandson - daughter was rushed into hosp with a blood clot on the brain - doctor says she is doing really well and is so lucky apparently because the recovery is much quicker than would expect (thankyou God) - she is tired but doing well. So glad things are looking up. The baby is going in for an op at the end of this week so prayer for him too.

I'm doing ok so far with dh away but do feel a bit shaky about it all - he is my carer so I feel a little lost and scared about coping. But health wise things are as good as it could be at the moment :) Thanks for prayers

Hello been doing the Holy Trinity Brompton Divorce and Separation Recovery Course on Monday nights. It's not bad.

My DD has had 3 bad dreams this week, each very vivid and she wakes up very upset. I've prayed through her room with oil, I pray every night for good dreams and she only reads and watches nice things on television like CBeebies or a Disney here and there, so I'm finding all this quite upsetting as she is very distraught about it all. She even checked her bed in the morning for a snake the other day As she came into my bed for the rest of the night, so I think she wanted to check it had gone. I've tried explaining that they're not real and it's her mind whilst she sleeps. It's horrid. So prayers these nasty dreams stop would be good and for me to say and do the rights things to help her.

Your poor DD TACP I will pray too. Have you prayed with her? Got her to pray too? Has she given any indication as to what the dreams are about? Is she at school yet? Is there something deep rooted troubling her? Sorry for all the Q's; just trying to help a little xx

Oh yes she tells me all about the dreams and she and I both pray. It's been tough with the separation and divorce on her, maybe it's all coming to the fore now?
