MN Christian Prayer Request Thread: : Back to school soon

It's been a while since I did an update for the prayer thread; I hope that God will remember those I forget:

Thanks be to God for wonderful exam results for MrsCadwallader and for PositiveAttitude dh's new job.
Prayers for Jentlydoesit's DP to find a new job before the money runs out.

Several regulars on the thread find life quite tough at the moment for one reason or another, let's bear each other up in prayer and practical help where possible: CaptainDippy, M44 (whose very much loved mother-in-law died last week), PositiveAttitude, Teaandcakeplease, Madhairday, Blueeyeshadow, Shieldbug (please pray that all fibroids and cysts will disappear before the next consultant's appointment)

Special thoughts go to Swaliswan for the healing of her marriage and for a safe pregnancy and delivery. Also for Hermya321, it's getting close now, only a few more weeks to go.

We pray for the family in MaMoTTaT's church who lost a daughter at a relatively young age. MaMoTTaT will be better known as FAQ or ToccataandFudge,( how I loved that name)

Last but not least we pray for Amberlight in her worry about ds who is struggling with eye problems for which he needs an operation and who is also having tests for hormonal problems. Please pray for as good an outcome as possible, so that he can carry on with his A-levels and rugby. And for peace of mind for Amber, who really could do with the pressure off for a bit.

So let's give thanks to God for His presence among us and get praying....

Personally I am giving thanks for a very enjoyable holiday, one week with dd and the children and one just Bob and me.

Thanks for the prayers. I've woken up this morning and it's still there (the idea).

It's Christian based, so at least my initial research should be fairly painless as to start with I'll contact churches to gauge their interest (and one would hope that a church would be fairly kind to someone asking for their opinions on something ).

Right now I've decided I need a name for it.

Dutch He's coming home in that blanket. I love it, I keep showing it off to everybody.

The midwife was concerned that LO might be breech so I've got a scan tomorrow, I'm really not convinced he is due to the position of his limbs in relation to the lump that the midwife thought was his head. If he is breech, I'm giving birth to a chimp.

But I have been fretting about it all weekend and when they rang me with the scan date, I had an overwhelming sense of peace and I just know that it's all going to be ok and that God is with us both. One of my prayers has been that we're holding our LO in our arms by the end of this week and well with the news of the scan I really felt like everything was back on track so to speak.

So praise God!!

Not been on over weekend as had a v busy one - managed to finally get to Alton Towers with dd and had a fabulous time :) The wheelchair made it possible, no way I could have done it otherwise, I felt fine about it and not at all self conscious etc. The dc had a lovely time :) Then had ds' party yesterday so didn't stop.

Prayers for our school...we've got ofsted in. I'm vice chair of governors so had a 'chat' today with a very nice inspector. think it went ok....no way of knowing really. we'll find out tomorrow...nervous.

Had my blood tests... were for Coeliac, thyroid, liver, kidney and bone density. See Dr again on 19th. Have been feeling very ill again today. Ate hardly anything yesterday, but it seems even THAT was enough to upset my stomach :(

Just to let you know I've had my scan and LO is indeed head down and am now praying like mad that he makes his appearence soon. Come on God!!

Thanks ladies, Things are certainly getting worse. Still just waiting for the results and have an appointment next Tuesday. Pain is bad and I am struggling.
Also prayers for DD3 who is pushing boundaries and making our life even harder.

Good to know baby is where "he" should be, Hermya.

PA could you have another word with your GP who seems very sensible. It just doesn't seem right that you are hanging on, worried and in pain, from one week to another.

Thanks DO. My GP is brilliant but I got "told off" by the consultant last week for going to him. I think he thought I was bothering him and going behind his back. Only 6 days.

Blow the consultant. Has he really no idea of what he is putting you through? He has absolutely no right to be 'telling you off'. Makes me

Praying for everyone on here.
Captain My sister went for an interview today which she thinks went quite well. The company wants to branch into her area of expertise but have yet to finalise their plans. So, I guess no job available at the moment, but possibly in the not too distant future. Also, in the last week a whole bunch of new jobs have been advertised that are of interest to her so she's spent most of the weekend writing application letters and customising her CV.

Thank you to everyone for your continued prayers. I don't think it will be too long now...

If anyone is around, please pray for a discussion I ma about to have with my 16 year old daughter, who thinks she is an adult and wants to make adult choices!! Prayer for a peaceful discussion without arguments and a happy outcome for everyone,

Keeping prayers going. Had big triumph today with social services offering exactly the right help

Right old mix of good and bad here. Discussion with DD3 went fairly well, lots of tears from her and me, but I feel more confident about the future with her now and will continue to pray for a full solution soon.

DD1 has phoned, she has been offered 2 jobs within 15 minutes!! One interview had been on Monday, one this morning. Very different jobs and she is going to decide which one she wants to take!! What a wonderful answer to prayer, and what a wonderful choice to have!!

My neck is not so good and the lump is really spreading now over my jawline and causing numbness in places.
