What happens to these petitions?
Do they not get discussed in parliament once a certain number of signatures are raised?

What happens during a suspended parliament?!

Have looked on the map and what's interesting is that areas like the SW which were strongly remain look as if they have a nice high proportion of people signing.

I saw another petition about for a public vote of no confidence in Boris Johnson, anyone know where that is? I didn't get the chance to sign it.

I signed this morning when it was just under 100k. It’s been my one source of comfort today, amidst the political chaos, watching the numbers jump up by a few hundred every few seconds.

SIgned it at 30,000 this morning.
Governments ignore petitions.
Governments ignore mass demonstrations.

There is a lot of anger out there.

Unfortunately bluntness I think no deal is firmly on his agenda. What efforts are being made to submit a new proposal regarding the backstop? I've not heard of anything concrete since last week and I do follow the news closely. So I'm sceptical. I don't think he genuinely wants a deal.
