Signed.

Shame on those of you who reported the thread, and shame on you MNHQ for moving it out of AIBU.

LeithWalk · 28/08/2019 23:18

The petition is great but action is what is really needed rather than 'armchair supporters'
A petition the government can pay lip service to, anything that disrupts and gives poor publicity not so much.

NoCauseRebel · 28/08/2019 23:20

Petitions aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. Given the one with 7 million signatures achieved absolutely nothing why on earth does anyone think this one will make any difference?

I voted remain but the reality is that A, the majority of those who voted voted leave, the majority of those who voted in the last GE voted conservative, and the majority of Tory party members voted for Johnson.

Whether we like it or not, this is what the electorate wants.

Cobblersandhogwash · 28/08/2019 23:35

You're quite wrong about what the electorate wants.

Nobody voted for no deal. Whatever horseshit they tell you.

Leave campaigned on getting a deal that would benefit Britain.

The electorate did not vote for a Brexit that would damage Britain.

In fact, the electorate had no idea what Brexit would look like because there was no plan and there is no plan.

So please do hush up with your nonsense "this is what the electorate wants." You just sound stupid.

If parliament is closed when is this petition going to be discussed in parliament? It is pointless and crazy when you know parliament will not be sitting.

Thornhill58 · 28/08/2019 23:45

Well we have 17.4 million votes to leave the EU. That's why Boris is doing what he is doing because he knows the remain tricks.
We have to implement the vote full stop.

Poppyfields21 · 28/08/2019 23:47

No, I’m relieved action is finally being taken. The petulant, condescending faction of the remain voters have almost made me wish I’d voted leave. Democracy only when it suits them!

Hazardtired · 28/08/2019 23:48

Already signed just bumping because the thread got moved and should stay in active if it's not in aibu.

Cobblersandhogwash · 29/08/2019 00:22

17.4 million votes to leave the EU how?

Go on. Give us the details.

Remainer tricks? Do you mean that big old Leaver trick of having zero plan? Even after years and years of bitch fits about the EU?

Pathetic.

Sunflowers211 · 29/08/2019 00:36

No not signing, about time this whole farce concluded.

Sunflowers211 · 29/08/2019 00:41

@Cobblersandhogwash shush you will raise your Blood Pressure

Krisskrosskiss · 29/08/2019 00:42

Cobblersandhogwash · 29/08/2019 00:44

@Sunflowers211 Aw, don't you worry about my blood pressure, lovely. 💋

ARudeTerriblePerson · 29/08/2019 00:49

I'm pretty sure (correct me if wrong) that your MP gets informed that you signed a petition which reaches the target. MPs are being so pathetic on this issue that any such notifications could help a lot. I know mine responds when I have signed stuff in the past.

So if you care, sign it.

Miljah · 29/08/2019 02:25

Signed

Daisypie · 29/08/2019 07:28

Bump

milliefiori · 29/08/2019 07:33

Done and also bumping so the hiding place this has been dumped in becomes more visible. Hmm

milliefiori · 29/08/2019 07:35

I know mine responds when I have signed stuff in the past.

Blimey @ARudeTerriblePerson really? Impressive. Mine never does. But that may be because he's Dominic Raab and we don't see eye to eye.

milliefiori · 29/08/2019 07:36

btw, the signatures only count if you click the email they sent you. Mine went into Spam, so worth checking.

Applesandpears23 · 29/08/2019 07:38

This is on the most active threads page so hopefully it will still get traffic.

Span1elsRock · 29/08/2019 07:39

Oh yes what a good idea Hmm. Just like the petition to have another referendum Hmm. That was a roaring success wasn't it..............

AnnaMariaDreams · 29/08/2019 07:41

I’m trying but the email doesn’t appear! Tried 3 times
