I have signed but think that the way it is worded makes it very weak.

I think someone should start a petition to call no confidence in boris and the cabinet - I would but have such a unique name I would fear reprisals from the very aggressive leavers.

Katinski · 28/08/2019 22:52

Signed, thanks.
Now then, public vote of no confidence in BoJo you say? Lead me to it!
And is there another to tell The Orange One to sod off out of our affairs? I'm deffo up for that!

FurryDogMother · 28/08/2019 22:53

Signed earlier, and shared to people who have also signed and shared. Still feel helpless in the face of it all - but have no idea what else to do!

ThereWillBeAdequateFood · 28/08/2019 22:55

Signed and shared.

Disgusted with Johnson.

Livingtothefull · 28/08/2019 22:55

I'll also sign a 'no confidence in the PM' petition in a heartbeat - do you know if there is one?

Don't ask me btw how it is supposed to work, how Parliament is going to be able to debate the subject when it has been suspended - but we can only do what we can to oppose this.

Signed thanks

SoMuchToBits · 28/08/2019 22:57

Have signed. Just wish I lived in Playmoland where the plastic people voted against Plexit, and the government is run by the wonderful Norman the Foreman and Kylie the lifeguard.

PooWillyBumBum · 28/08/2019 22:57

Signed and shared.

Not hopeful but also enjoying watching it climb.

Chloemol · 28/08/2019 22:59

No thanks

Livingtothefull · 28/08/2019 23:02

Up to 980K now. That is over 100 signatures in 10 minutes.

Please continue to sign and share.

I too wonder what the point of all these petitions is.

Opiate for the masses?

Petition to denote real caring, no need for action?

Sticking plaster/ distraction?

riversideA · 28/08/2019 23:03

maddening "reprisals from the very aggressive leavers" LOL. Because remainers are so gentle and reasonable...Hmm

KennDodd · 28/08/2019 23:04

I've found the 'no confidence' petition, it's not live yet, being checked so don't know if this link will work. I bet it would get more people signing it than the number who voted for BJ as PM. Or for their MP.

LouMumsnet · 28/08/2019 23:05

Hi OP, we've had a few reports about your thread and so we've now moved it over to the Petitions board.

chomalungma · 28/08/2019 23:06

Well obviously.

Hide it....it's only Brexit and the future of this country.

This is how they get away with it. Hide it away and pretend it never exists.

KennDodd · 28/08/2019 23:07

@riversideA

Didn't the women you started the Revoke petition get death threats?

Katinski · 28/08/2019 23:07

Ah, SoMuch we can but dream... And a saucepan, or whatever it was, on BoJo's head would be an improvement, too Grin

(not too sure it was a saucepan - had a fall & I've been in hospital, so that was the last I read...home now and I've a lot of catching up to do tomorrowSmile)

Brexitstash · 28/08/2019 23:08

Signed and shared, it's just ticked over a million Grin

Nat6999 · 28/08/2019 23:09

I've signed about 3 different ones including one from the Labour party as I am a member.

Katinski · 28/08/2019 23:10

Thanks KennDodd, I'll keep checking back.

Livingtothefull · 28/08/2019 23:10

Well thanks a bunch, I posted this on AIBU for traffic because I care so much about the future of this country. But obviously some people feel strongly enough it to report it so I will consider my wrist well and truly slapped....

OP posts:
donquixotedelamancha · 28/08/2019 23:10

Signed.

3 years of getting nowhere so anything that gets this done (leaving the EU) is fine by me

Even if it weakens democracy? Once a PM can suspend parliament to get their way, there is no going back from that. What on Earth do we get by leaving the EU that is worth this?

SoMuchToBits · 28/08/2019 23:13

@katinski yes it was a saucepan, but just get back to the Playmo thread tomorrow, lots has happened since then.

But Boris is a disaster. Sad
