Petition to Stonewall

New petition launched calling on Stonewall to:

• Acknowledge that there are a range of valid viewpoints around sex, gender and transgender politics

• Acknowledge specifically the conflict that exists between transgenderism and sex-based women’s rights

• Commit to fostering an atmosphere of respectful debate, rather than demonising as transphobic those who wish to discuss or dissent from Stonewall’s current policies

Tbh stonewall have long seemed to me to be vociferously masculine : hard to explain, but far far more interested in and agitating for the gay men community. It does not surprise me that they have taken this stance.

If she agrees twaw then any tw can and should be anywhere a woman/ girl is. Because they are female.

I'm not signing because it would feel dishonest. I'm not gay and Stonewall has never claimed to represent me. Asking them to reassess the service they provide when it is not a service I will ever use just feels wrong.

Stonewall will carry on regardless - they've got tons of money (because it's male dominated, innit) - but there's no point to them if their main purpose is to stand up for the rights of err, straight men.
