The issue of asylum he or she has raised should not be in terms of race. It should be in terms of need.
I guess that a poor black South African would be treated the same as a poor white one in modern times - in that they are economic migrants.
South Africa is probably now regarded as a safe country and all hopeful asylum seekers would be summarily or eventually rejected whatever their colour.
Economic migrants are a different matter and will be judged on their EU eligibility or usefulness to our economy.
It's a nonsense to say we should have a points system such as Australia. Britain may not have one but we have visas and we can eject people who contravene them if we want.
No need to rise to what you think is a goad or to trash people who would like to try to make a better life for themselves in another country whatever the colour of their skin.
That's just nasty.
