This was definitely in the context of snubbing and not an autocorrect for knobbing.

I've just seen a post on Nextdoor that has shot instead of shocked and left lane instead of left lying plus many other errors.

I saw "take a fence" in some comments somewhere. The poster insisted it was a typo when pulled up on it. I'm not so sure!
