We did the whole registering our intent thing and CAN choose music if we want for the Register office ceremony. Not sure what to do though as we need to find a song and agree on it.

Have also booked a venue!

On my cake I think I might see if I can get a sugar Iris made as I want a plain cake and will probably have an iris in my Bouquet!

Well - went to dress shop and she gave me "oh, I was going to phone you today" line. Apparently, she chased my dress up yesterday and there is a 2-3 week delay so it "will be in" before the end of October . I'm feeling slightly more relieved. Still not convinced she didn't forget to order it and is now rushing it through, but frankly, as long as its here in time, I don't really care. She said she'll call me the moment it arrives and arrange for fitting/alterations and they should take less than a week.

MoM - cake sounds great. You could get your florist to just do a tiny spray of flowers to match your bouquet and put them on top of the cake. Should only be about £15-£20. Otherwise, there are some great places that will do bride & groom toppers that actually look like you (and you can have dc's on there as well). Very cute, but quite expensive I think. Something nice to keep though maybe ?

hello all

so i got married yesterday!!!!! my face is still like this!

it was absolutely the most amazing day ever!

it all went far too quickly though!

it was the ultimate getting ready day, we started at 7.30 and i was ready at 2.30

my best friend/bridesmaid kept crying, so we all agreed that i looked awful () which helped us to stop!

i cried the entire way through our vows, but it all looked good on video (yes we've already watched it)

then onto the party which was so much fun... everyone had a great time and the food was amazing - so was the pink champagne! i liked that - alot, lol!

me and dH had lots of fun over breakfast this morning 'can you pass the butter husband' 'their you go wife'

it was all better than i could have imagined

haha, i don't think it's possible to become bored of that game! (well mabe in 20years it will!!)

I still havent got used to being called Mrs .. feels very grown up!

Been and ordered wedding rings today. Just hunting on t'internet for necklace, earrings and hair clip now - I keep seeing things I like and then they're out of stock. Blooming frustrating

Tilly, i have my hairband(selfridges) will be borrowing my sisters earrings for my something borrowed(she has 2 pairs the same) and won't wear a necklace so^that part is sorted!

it took a whole day to make me look like that (if it helps i can put the comedy shot my dad took of me getting my hair done!!!)

saralou - how was the interview btw ? I know what you mean about taking all day to get ready - I've been speaking to hairdresser and make up lady and they're coming over at 10.30 in the morning. We don't get married until 3 pm . Oh well, suppose I need all the help I can get

i didn't get the job! not suprising really, who goes for a job interview the day before their wedding! nutter! plus i had a cold and felt really rough. not actually bothered though!

well i started getting ready at 8 am - got in the bath and shaved everywhere

9 am nails done

back home at 11, get hair done (took over 2 hours!)

1.30 makeup

2.15 dress on..

2.15 everyone starts crying!!!!!

left just after 2.30

married at 3pm

What type of thing were your best dressed guests wearing????

I think dresses with a wrap/pashamina type thing were order of the day at mine...a couple of girls did wear lovely trouser suits though
