Hi nicolamumof3,

do you know what date? Mile is a July wedding

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2008 12:13

A Civil ceremony this is the place
www.westheathweddings.co.uk/home/

I haven't started looking at dresses as wanted to get back to a size 12!! Nearly there now, so will start looking!

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2008 12:14

18th July! X

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2008 12:16

what date is your?!

beanieb · 22/09/2008 12:42

hopefully the 24th - we're booked in provisionally and are going to see them next week!

TillyScoutsmum · 22/09/2008 13:35

Oooh nicola - your venue looks beautiful and Lady Di's school - how posh

I wanted to get to a size 12 before ordering but was running out of time. I ordered one anyway (was still a size 14) and I think (hope) it will be ok. It should be here within the next couple of weeks and then I have until the end of November to lose any extra pounds I need.

Any ideas what sort of thing you're looking for ?

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2008 13:38

fitted bodice then quite a full skirt, not quite sure til i start looking. just saw one in a wedding shop window, lots of lace 1950's sort of thing, not what i had imagined but it was really pretty. The venue is lovely, and works out really reasonable as we are doing own food. only problem is its massive we have to decorat it all

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2008 13:38

where are you getting married? I would have loved a winter wedding x

TillyScoutsmum · 22/09/2008 13:46

here. Nothing too fancy (we've both done the big wedding thing before). We're just having a late afternoon ceremony and then a drinks party with a hot buffet at night.

I think a lot of us have gone for fitted bodice, full skirt combos. They're very flattering

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2008 13:52

oooh that looks lovely, its lovely to have it in a hotel, everything there for you, are you staying there too afterwards? God knows where we are staying and who will have the kids lol!!

TillyScoutsmum · 22/09/2008 14:02

Yes - we're staying there. DD's are going up to bed at their normal bedtime (7.30 ish) and we have a babysitter during the evening. They're then sharing a room with MIL and FIL overnight . Its all a bit of a logistical nightmare with dc's isn't it ?! We're still not sure how we're going to sort out getting us and them ready and to the hotel and try and get dd to have her nap so she's not a grump all day. All good fun

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2008 15:01

oh yeah tel me about it how old are you dcs? my younger boys will be 2yrs and 3.5yrs on our wedding day so im hoping will cope without a nap for the youngest. im trying to get a couple of people to act as nanny's on the day. luckily dh knows a couple of ex-nanny's that we can hire, expensive but worth it when we will have at least a dozen under 5's there!

aaaah just heard back from wedding photographer....they are booked!! I really liked them and it was a great price. back to the drawing board...am i leaving it too late to book these things with 10months to go??

TillyScoutsmum · 22/09/2008 18:52

Photographers can get booked up quickly - especially for July Saturday weddings. You'll find one though. As I said on the other thread - a lot will travel so you don't need to limit your search to local ones. Ours is reportage/informal type and we're just having the CD Rom with copyright and all day coverage. It should have been £995 but I managed to get them down to £595

DD will be 18 months and DSD will be almost 5. DD could go without a nap but she'd be much more likely to play up and be grumpy if she did. Its all going to be a bit of a rush though to get her napped, ready and at the venue for 2.45 pm.

We've got a couple of the nursery nurses from DSD's nursery coming to babysit on the night as well.

nicolamumof3 · 23/09/2008 16:37

yay... may have found wedding photographer...

Good job - the photos look brill

I need to sort rings and cake out within the next couple of weeks. Just over 9 weeks to go ....

nicolamumof3 · 23/09/2008 17:57

oooh how exciting....where are you getting your cake from? i think we might get ours from waitrose!

TillyScoutsmum · 23/09/2008 20:56

We were thinking of Waitrose or M&S but DP has decided he wants three different flavoured layers so we need to get one made. Most I've looked at don't work out much more expensive than M&S. Just need to get round to finding someone and decided what sort of thing I want. Could take a while . I am Mrs Indecisive

nicolamumof3 · 23/09/2008 21:09

lol TSM, just booked that photographer, she was willing to travel, for no extra result. Yes i would like different tiers, but I think we are just going for chocolate from waitrose. I might be going dress shopping next week if hubby can get afternoon off to look after boys!

Dropdeadfred · 23/09/2008 21:13

Fred - wow wow wow. The photos are fantastic. Your dd's are soooo beautiful and you looked amazing. I really love the firework pics at the end. Stunning. I WANT fireworks

T42 - are the rest of your pics available yet for us to have a nosey at ? And anyone else who's got them.

nicola - dress shopping. How exciting. Can you show us any links of ones you like ? Have a look on the Maggie Sottero site - they have lots of tight bodice, full skirt and they're really well made and fairly reasonable prices (its where mine is from)
