I loved the montage too... it made me smile after a really stressful day... thanks MoM!!!

A few days ago I went to the framers in our highstreet and got two of our wedding photos put in frames!!!

What are you all going to do with your pictures??? - Apart from publish them on Mumsnet, that is!!!

MerlinsBeard · 14/12/2008 21:15

We are going to get a softback photo book done of ours.

Aldi do them and they are really good!! (i can't link as am the S L O W E S T laptop in the world and it takes forever lol!)

Glad i made you smile

Tillyscoutsmum · 17/12/2008 08:28

I'm just in the process of doing a "storybook" album at the moment. Its a really slow process (in between stopping dd climbing and wrecking the christmas tree !). I've also ordered a few reprints for various rellies for Xmas pressies and we'll have a couple in frames.

saralou · 19/12/2008 18:38

helllooooo

oh god i've been suffering withdrawal symptoms from here!! compoooter is broken!!

tilly & MOM you both looked lovely and like amazing days were had by all!!!

it's a fleeting visit as i'm avoiding working.

9mths and 9 days until my big day!

nicolamumof3 · 04/01/2009 18:58

hi i would love to join back to wedding chat now that xmas is out the way! im due to get married in July and so much still to do.

anywone recommend any good wedding stationery sites?? thanks alot xx

OhBling · 05/01/2009 13:56

6 weeks to go. I'm feeling surprisingly good. sad that I still haven't lost most of the weight - obviously, I have abit more time, but not enough to lose all I wanted to. But otherwise, feeling really good!

saralou · 06/01/2009 13:14

bling, i dropped weight in the run up to the day through stress and running around like a mad woman, half a stone without even trying...

sadly this never happens when i wanna lose weight!!!

it's gone very quiet here!!!

my best mate is getting married in september and i'm gonna be one of her bridesmaids... never been one before, so very exciting!!!

i get to go dress shopping at the end of the month with her!!!!

she's getting married here it's very posh!!!!!

OhBling · 07/01/2009 17:16

I'm one of those people who GAINS weight when I'm stressed!!!! Sigh!

Venue looks fab! I've been bridesmaid a few times. My hot tips are:

  1. do not expect to feel special on the day. It's not about you!
  2. keep the bride's mother/MIL/Gran/random person floating around her house away from her when she's looking stressed
  3. Wear comfortable shoes!
Tillyscoutsmum · 09/01/2009 20:34

Hello ladies How's everyone doing ? Few pics on profile now for those who really couldn't face wading through all 400 + of my official ones !

Bling - Slimfast is good for a quick fix. I can normally drop a stone in around 6 weeks (and I don't stick religiously to the 600 calorie for dinner thing)

Nicola - will see if I can dig out the website I had my stationery from... Was nice and fairly cheap

LMG - did you get your bridesmaid dresses ?? If so, pics please - you know the drill !

Tillyscoutsmum · 09/01/2009 20:37

stationers

LoveMyGirls · 10/01/2009 08:26

Hi everyone, woke up this morning to a letter from the church giving us dates for our rehersal, banns etc very exciting, it's starting to feel more real now!

Tilly - we didn't even manage to find 1 blue bridesmaid dress that my bf could try on they were all either too dark or backless (other 2 bm's want to wear a decent bra as they are big of norkage) if anyone has any idea's where I can find something please let me know, think the next step is to go back to bridesmaid dress shops instead of high street.

Bling how much did you want to lose? I've lost quite a bit of weight recently so if you want some tips just let me know, I know how hard it can be! 6 weeks is long enough to lose at least half a stone maybe more if you stick with it not that size matters I'm sure you'll feel like a princess on the day no matter what!

I'm back on amission to tone up before the wedding as I went underwear shopping for something to go under my dress and I was podgy in the wrong places so I'm doing wii fit again though I did some on monday and hurt myself for the rest of the week so that wasn't very clever! Think I need to go a bit easier on myself until I'm used to it again!

Korma if you see this could you email me with a date and time to come over to see you about bridesmaid dresses please? Could you do a sunday by any chance?

S1ur · 10/01/2009 22:10

TOTAL HIJACK**

Tilly me ol mucker!

I have been absent fron mn, caught up in paid employment
I return and lookie lookie you are all wed!

I looked at your profile and you looked stunning - truely amazingly beautiful - am dead pleased for you!

Could I have a link to your thread where you spill all the exciting highs and highers of the day?

Huge Congratulations matey!

OhBling · 10/01/2009 22:17

I have quite a lot. I've already lost half a stone, but would have liked to have lost more by now. Post Christmas, I'm back at gym and doing well on food and drink during the week (less well on weekend). Went to gym three times last week - although they were all relatively short sessions. Will be doing at least the same this week. So hopefully will see some improvement. No booze between now and the wedding!

I do feel better than I did a month or two ago, it's just not so easy to do it quickly. Working full time, commuting, etc, all makes it really hard. But I am trying. Weigh in day is Monday so I'll let you know how I'm going.

Tillyscoutsmum · 11/01/2009 14:09

Hello Slur Lovely to hear from you ... I noticed you'd been AWOL and thought you might have de-registered because of the Moldie thing

I didn't really do the wedding day post mortem - there's a little bit on the previous page of this thread - but really it all just flew by so quickly, its just a bit of a blur. It was great though - everything I hoped it would be and more

Bling - good luck for your weigh in. Don't go and lose too much - its a right pain getting the dress altered etc. Can't believe its only 6 weeks to go

nicolamumof3 · 11/01/2009 18:44

TSM thanks so much for that link! looks lovely, im off to nosey at your piccies now! so much to do as haven't organised much at all and only 6 months to go!!

nicolamumof3 · 11/01/2009 18:47

TSM, you look absolutely stunning! i bet you had a fabulous day, your girls are beautiful too. love the dress, it is WOW!!!

S1ur · 11/01/2009 21:32

Aw ace Tilly just ace. Read your post about dc coming to join you, mine did too - perfect, really lovely.

Me deregister??? pah never!

Moldy thang I was/am well aware of and made decision to not post on the topic and I've had no blardy time to anyway.

This paid employment is disastrous for my mning

Tillyscoutsmum · 11/01/2009 21:37

damn those pesky jobs getting in the way of more important things

It was lovely having the dc's up with us - dsd always referred to it as "our" wedding (i.e. mine, dh's, hers and dd's) and it really was

Thanks nicola
