Hey MoM. Forget my wedding, I'm coming to yours (you have inflatables !! ).

Cava is good - unless you've got any real wine connoisseurs amongst your guest - no one will notice any difference from overpriced real champagne

I'm ok - excited - need to get my arse into gear and get the house straight and start getting stuff ready for our mini moon. My contact lenses have arrived though - so that's a relief

I've got fake tan etc. tomorrow and I'm not sure when to ....errrm... shave my pits basically Any ideas whether I do it before or after the fake tan ? I might post in S&B

Cava is absolutely fine. And... just because it isn't "real" champagne, doesn't mean it can't be absolutely delicious. And at half the price [we buy sparkling wine from SA. fraction of the cost, totally excellent yumminess factor]

I'm a bit One of my best friends might not be able to make it because she's just had a miscarriage . I'm so gutted for her and want to be able to give her a hug but there's no way I can get chance to see her at the moment....

Spoke to a friend this afternoon and she reckoned pits after tan (as long as its more than 24 hours after) Hmmmmmm. No blardy idea. Will definitely post in S&B and probably be even more confused

I was going to get glow sticks but was worried about them being chewed and leaking everywhere. They have balloons, books, power balls, glow in the dark ducks, bracelets (girls), cars (boys), little packs of cards, colouring books & crayons and lots of chocolate/cake/sweets No inflatables though

I am having "issues" with my dad (again) First of all he didn't know if he was coming even though he lives a 5 min WALK away from the ceremony venue, then he didn't know if he wanted to walk me down the aisle (good job i wasn;t fussed either way!) and now he won't wear what i want him to wear ok ok, bridezilla alert i know but he is going to look like a complete and utter KNOB wearing a black shirt and trousers and a white tie when i am in ivory, my DSs are in WHITE shirts and ivory waistcoats and DP is in gold and ivory with a GREY suit. I even offered to hire him a shirt,waistcoat and cravat that matched DPs and the boys from the same place but he said he won't wear them. I don't think he really gets it tbh.

Tilly that's very sad about your friend. Poor thing. And for you - so hard not to be able to support people in person when tough things happen.

MoM - your dad sounds... interesting. . I'd say that if he wears black shirt and trousers with a whie tie, it's not too bad. At least he's not turning up in bermuda shorts!? What about a compromise and see if you can get in himto an ivory tie?

You're both on the homeward stretch now. you're almost at the point where it's not worth worrying about details any more! What do you have planned for tomorrow?

I'm all fake tanned up I look like Dorian from Birds of Feather (showing my age now !!) I'm assured most of it washes off

Just been to my last WW meeting and have lost another 3lb - so thats 2 stone 2 lb in total. I'm a happy bunny ....... and am now going to stuff my face for the next week

MoM - sorry to hear your dad is being a pain. He sounds like my mum (who informed me she's wearing her black "work" trousers and a top she bought from Sainsburys to the wedding because (and I quote) "its not like its a proper wedding" Like Bling says - its too late to worry now. Fuck 'em in the ear (as DP is fond of saying for some bizarre reason)

D'you know I feel almost drunk... (despite drinking nothing)....I could tip tap away spouting shite for hours. I'm soooo excited, I think I might burst....

Anyhoo - tomorrow I have DP's step mum with me most of the day. I need to pick up my dress and contact lenses and that's about it. Friends are coming for dinner tomorrow night....

dad is suitably ignored, food is made, CD favours are being printed, suits picked up, DS1 is having his hair cut as we speak, button holes need the leaves taking off as they have gone crunchy(altho to be fair i made them far too early!) and i need to make bouquets later on then i am DONE!!!

I'm having a fake tan disaster. Body is ok (bit browner than anticipated but not too bad), face however is hideous. i look like I have some kind of jaundice I need to find the mn beauty experts to see if there's anything I can do to fade it before tomorrow..... Arrrrggghh ! Why do these things happen to me ?!

Other than that I am mega excited !

Don't worry TSM it will fade! (I have mine done on a thu night and by saturday its perfect but fri is always a bit darker than i'd like)

yesterday started off really stress free, i in fact i was posting here as i had NOTHING TO DO!!
The day before was manic, we did all the food and the button holes and the bouquets as well as send all DH's band stuff up to his brothers so he didn't have to come home!

My friend came to do mine and my sisters make up(sister was bridesmaid) and then there was a mad dash to get the boys dressed, my hair done and dresses on before we had to leave! Got there and it just looked so beautiful in the frost. It was lit so nicely on the outside. Met the registrar and the other lady who i have forgotten what she did because all i had in my head was supernintendo(she was superintendant something or other)

In the room i asked DS1 if he wanted to take the rings to the best man as he led us in and he was sooo pleased , when he walked in ahead of us everyone went "ah" and he went really shy! DS2 went with my sis and i walked in with my dad who did NOT wear the black shirt :D

Ceremony was just perfect, the lady conducting it was looking like she meant every word, there was a mix up with the songs and one of the tracks didn't work so we ended up leaving to signed sealed delivered by Stevie Wonder which made everyone laugh!

Had some pics taken on teh BEAUTIFUL staircase and in the steps outside, by which time i had a handwarmer down my bra because it was flipping FREEZING!!

Off to reception and everyone cheered as we went in, the pianist went down a storm, then the band played and i sang my heart out (well it was make or break and i may never sing with the band ever again!), did just enough food, all the children LOVED the guitars and Mics and the karaoke was a hit. There was a lull after a while but by then people were drunk enough to dance the macerena lol!

I really really did not want the day to end, my boys were absolute STARS and other than a normal wobble or 2 they were brilliant, DS3 loved the attention and we came home ad opened our cards with a cuppa tea

Have got the memory cards back and there are literally over a thousand photo's to sort thru,am getting there but by the time Tilly gets back and has posted, i will have sorted and edited where needed!

everyone said that the day was perfectly us which was nice
