Awww - shame about your brother. I know what you mean - I've got a 22 year old brother and I think he's practically a baby

Saw another thread about the halloween emoticons being taken off until next week. You're not going mad or anything

EachPeachPearMum · 20/10/2008 20:36

TSM- sorry Hijack
They don't have the veggie puree at Maypole, sorry!

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/10/2008 20:42

Aww - bless you for looking. I'm having real problems bloody finding the thing (not in Asda, Sainsburys or Tesco by us) and I've bought the rest of the ingredients for the recipe. Ho hum

Thanks again for looking though

LoveMyGirls · 20/10/2008 21:16

Hi everyone

Exciting news about the rings!

sandy - what a shame you'll just have to make up for it when you can goddamn mother nature!
SM - sorry about the BAD NEWS ABOUT YOUR BRO'S GF'S NAN [SAD] (sry caps)

my little bro might miss mine as he is the local footy club and has to be there but we'll see what we can do nearer to the time!

EachPeachPearMum · 20/10/2008 21:25

Just actually read what this thread is about....
Congratulations everyone!!!
Hope you ALL have fabulous days, whenever they may be

beaniescreamyb · 21/10/2008 10:16

Tilly - I am having Taffeta in 'Vanilla' I think.

beaniescreamyb · 21/10/2008 10:21

Oh - and I just worked out My period is due on the day I get married too! Lets hope I get pregnant first.

BloodyStranglingwithBling · 21/10/2008 10:26

the jeweller who was going to make my ring appears to have closed/turned into a pawn broker. Am a bit annoyed. I can find somewhere else, but I liked him and felt comfortable with him doing it.
I am making DP's ring...

Tillyscoutsmum · 22/10/2008 14:52

Have just been told my dress will be here next Thursday and have booked a fitting in for the 4th November Soooo relieved

Bling - shame about the jeweller. You are making DP's ring ?? Wow - that's impressive

Beanie - Vanilla Taffeta sounds gorgeous

MerlinsBeard · 22/10/2008 21:25

LoveMyGirls · 23/10/2008 07:58

How exciting Tilly!!

BloodyStranglingwithBling · 23/10/2008 08:55

Excellent news Tilly. How are you holding out for nearly a week between arrival and fitting? I am trying to work out if the SA dress maker would agree to see me on the Sunday we arrive!

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/10/2008 09:20

Bling I would go sooner but the dress unfortunately arrives the day before dp goes off for his stag weekend, so I have no babysitter to look after dd . He's "working" from home on the Tuesday morning though so I can go then and not have to wait for the following weekend

I was really trying not to get too stressed about the absence of the dress but it was a MASSIVE relief to get the call yesterday. Just gotta hope it fits now [hmmm]

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/10/2008 09:23

STRETCH - 1 day to goooooooo

Hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow. Enjoy every second and come back and tell all soon

Dragonbutter · 23/10/2008 09:23

Tillyscoutsmum, i haven't recieved my virtual bridesmaids dress yet. getting concerned now.

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/10/2008 09:30

Hey - hello you

I've been meaning to get in touch for ages. I have picked your dress out and it should arrive shortly. hope its ok ?

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/10/2008 09:32

or maybe this one because I know you like green

BloodyStranglingwithBling · 23/10/2008 10:16

What is everyone doing with their nails? I know, slightly random question, but it seems a french manicure is fairly standard, but secretly, I'd quite like to actually colour my nails. Is that tacky?

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/10/2008 10:24

No - its not tacky at all. I'm not sure whether I'm going French or scarlet red (to match the dress ). I think my nails are too short for a dark colour though tbh.

BloodyStranglingwithBling · 23/10/2008 10:25

Fake ones? You can get natural looking ones?

Mine are erratic - they get weak and pathetic and break a lot. But am hoping to nurture to them to health for the wedding as they're quite nice when they actually grow. I'm hoping that having two weeks without being in the office, on keyboard etc, will help...

VASTlargeginandbloodymary · 23/10/2008 10:28

Thank goodness about the dress, was starting to think of alternatives for you.

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/10/2008 10:29

No - had a fake nail disaster at my first wedding (one came out and got stuck in my hair - luckily my bridesmaid noticed just before I walked down the aisle ).

I'm having a manicure on Sunday so that will hopefully mean they'll grow and be in reasonable condition for the wedding

Dragonbutter · 23/10/2008 10:54

oh yes, the green one please. it's luvverly.
i will wear it and sit at home getting virtually drunk.
can i get off with a virtual best man too?

MerlinsBeard · 23/10/2008 10:55

nails? eek! dunno! I have a wart at the side of one of mine that isn't really respinding to wartner v well aside form that i think i will just clear polish them. i don't wear nail varnish so would feel a bit odd i think
