actually its almost EXACTLY like the one you linked!(i should have looked first!)

Tillyscoutsmum · 17/10/2008 13:23

Help me out please ladies .....

I'm doing some activity bags/party bag type things for the children at the wedding. There will be 12 dc's, the eldest almost 5 and the youngest 6 months. Any suggestions for things I can put in them please ?

MerlinsBeard · 17/10/2008 14:33

Tilly, we are doing the same!(or having a box with stuff in like travel games)

Not got time to do links properly but have you looked at Hawkins bazaar?

We are thinking of something they can do at the reception rather than something to take home. So other than a balloon each we have thought of playdough(but worried about mess) a small colouring book with crayons, toy cars/ponies. mini make it sets but again worried about mess (we have to tidy up ourselves the next day)

There is a website www.eventsmiles.co.uk (i think - will check when i have more time) that do them ready made up and they are good quality and not hideously expensive

LoveMyGirls · 17/10/2008 20:03

I really wanted to hire a circus entertainer to teach up circus type skills but dp said no, I think it's about £100 for 2 hours, we probably only need an hour and we don't need the disco so might not even be as expensive as that. (dp has said no to this btw) I still htink it's a fab idea something for all ages to have a go at while we're waiting to be drunk enough to get up and dance! What about crayons and puzzle books for the speeches other than that I think balloons and music will be enough? Perhaps twister?

My dad came round today, he's seen the dress, he's rung around to find out if he could get the dress I love any cheaper anywhere else which is a sensible thing to do, he knows now I've done my best and he's happy to pay for my dress so now I'm really looking forward to tomorrow when I will be ordering my wedding dress

Tillyscoutsmum · 17/10/2008 21:46

LMG - glad you dad has come good Have fun ordering tomorrow

MerlinsBeard · 17/10/2008 21:49

MerlinsBeard · 17/10/2008 22:32

i keep saying that too!

6 weeks

Tillyscoutsmum · 17/10/2008 22:41

Yes - 6 weeks tomorrow. How exciting Still no farkin dress though !

MerlinsBeard · 17/10/2008 22:42

oooooh noooooo

MerlinsBeard · 18/10/2008 12:38

our rings are here and they are NICE and they FIT well, mine does, DPs is a little big. as it would be if you have a massive plaster over a wart on your ring finger when sizes were taken!

Will resize DPs after the wedding as we dn't want to risk them getting lost in the post (we would have to post off the ring, they will resize and then will repost back to us, resizing could take anything form a few days to a couple of weeks!)

Tillyscoutsmum · 18/10/2008 13:12

What are they like then MoM ? Ours should be here at the end of October. Can't wait . Sorted out my hair and make up today. I'm having a trial on 30th October. Also ordered dd's shoes and got my earrings this morning.

Need to make an appointment to go and see the registrar and go though music/reading etc. and pay the rest of their money

kind of like this but with one diamond. The middle is matt finish and the edges are polished

(from that site)

Tillyscoutsmum · 18/10/2008 22:00

Very nice. They've got some lovely rings on there

beanieb · 19/10/2008 10:09

Yay - the dress pattern I wanted but which was so hard to find has been found and bought by my mum! I am over the moon and jumping for joy! Was a bit pricey though but we thought best to snap it up now as it's so sought after!

here

sandy4 · 19/10/2008 20:43

oh ... have just realised that my period is due 2 days B4 wedding

Tillyscoutsmum · 19/10/2008 22:01

Yay beanieb - glad its sorted. It really does look like a fantastic dress. Are you going for white/ivory or having something coloured ?

sandy - there are pills a GP can prescribe to stop your period - just depends how heavy/painful they are though, I suppose,. Mine are awful for the first two days but then calm down a bit. Crap timing though

sandy4 · 19/10/2008 22:32

so where's the list of who's getting married when???

who's next?

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/10/2008 07:51

Stretchmarkscream is on 24th October ((4 days to go stretch )

Then Mumofmonster and I are both on the 29th November {less than 6 weeks to go !!)

When is yours sandy ? Think we may need to update the list

BlingLovin · 20/10/2008 10:39

20 Feb next year.

stretchmarkSCREAM · 20/10/2008 16:52

Sorry, haven't been here long enough to have halloween smileys!!

4 days!!!

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/10/2008 17:38

Halloween smilies ?? How do I get those ?

4 days !!!!!!!! How are you ? (apart from very excited - I can just tell from your posts that you're bouncing around like Tigger on speed )

stretchmarkSCREAM · 20/10/2008 19:28

Ok, theyr were there??

I'm fine TSM!! Bit nervous, just sorting out the finishing touches.

My bro can't come because his gfs nan died on fri, and the funeral's on the day of the wedding Shes's 8 months pregnant as well, and we said he should be with her. She was very close to her nan as well.

He will be able to come at night just not to the day bit. I'm sad that he can't come, but she comes first, and I'm glad he sees things like that!! He's only 21 bless, he seems very little (to me!) to be nearly a dad!!
