SS - can you not hire a cleaner as a one off? I'm intending to get one in while i'm on my honeymoon because i know the housework will be totally neglected in the run up to the wedding!

LoveMyGirls · 09/07/2008 07:20

TSM - I'm about 30mins from birmingham. I'm planning something simple like a pic of me and dp with a few words underneath (obviously all printed from pc and stuck on/ printed onto the card, same with the insert and 1 sticker that says wedding invitation (you can get these from the craft shop, 79p for 20 stickers) so simple just a matter of the time it takes.

My aunt is doing ym flowers and we're waiting until sept to see how much the flowers i like are about that time of year. I'm extremely impatient, I'd have rung her by now

Good luck for the weekend ss and biac!!!!!

T42 your pics look lovely! So glad you had a fab day, whats it like to be MRS?!

SmallShips · 09/07/2008 12:25

Cleaner is a fab idea, i may well do that!!

Managed to get my place settings done last night, as its a beach theme, we used pepples, sprayed them gold and painted their names on. I'd already done them once, but i left them out in the rain and they got ruined!

Hows everyone doing? Im getting more and more stressed by the hour! Thanks for all the good luck and weather vibes!

differentID · 09/07/2008 13:39

Smallships. Everything will work out. Just do what you can without rushing, and then enjoy the day. Dry weather wishes are being sent for you.

mollysawally · 09/07/2008 14:22

Hi, everone!

ilovefoxes is back as mollyisawally, long boooooooring story but its good to be back with all you brides and B2B.

T42 - I've had a nosey at your pics - they're fantastic, your dd is gorgeous! Did you manage to create the boheminan feel you was after? Please tell the relaxed civil service wedding idea works!

SS - Oohh its close now, have you got that exicited mixed with nerves feeling yet? The place settings sound fab, wish I was creative like that !

Tilly - thanks to you I'm back. But I have a confession to make - I live in Berkshire not birmingham. I didn't want anyone to link wishy and me together (done such a brilliant job of that!) so I told a fib (smack wrists).
So I wasn't hiding from you because I thought you was a stalker, its just birmingham's a long way to go for a day's shopping! And I wasn't brave enough to come clean - forgive me?

TillyScoutsmum · 09/07/2008 15:50

Yay - Foxy Molly is back (one more name change ?? - I like foxymolly ). Nothing to forgive, you daft bint... Just to clarify though - is it the 6th or 13th September (just so we know) and have you found anything to wear yet ?

How are the plans ?

SS and BIAC - its your wedding eve ! I demand that you both stop stressing and have some lovely relaxing "me" time before your big day

OP posts:
TillyScoutsmum · 09/07/2008 15:52

I don't even know what day of the week it is - its not your wedding eve - its your wedding eve eve {stupid emoticon]

teafortwo · 09/07/2008 16:07

Hello Molly - I am delighted to see you back!!!! As your the only mner who laughs at my jokes!!!! And for lots of other reasons too like i thik you and I are the same age(ish)our weddings are pretty similar in vibe and I like your jokes too. I tried to find you by doing a thread search ( bit stalkerish teafortwo ) and discovered you are looking for rings and dress - why don't we do that on this thread- you know we would all love it love it love it - and we know you now!!!!

Also Molly... Thanks for your feedback on the pics! I had such a lovely day... and you will too! The relaxed civil ceromony was just great - we felt like we were in our front room and played catch while saying our vows - my perfect wedding!

So, so, so...Good luck for tomorrow ss and biac - have a blast blast blast- actually... I don't need to say that I know you both will - you two fun loving ladies!!!!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... Don't forget to send us the pics and all the details - we can't wait!!!

Stay cool everyone

Talk soon

Foxymolly · 09/07/2008 16:56

Last name change ... EVER!
I must admit though I do prefer being foxy to being a wally

T42 - I hope we can pull of that same sort of vibe for our wedding, I love that you caught the ball while saying your vows, what a great memeory to have

Tilly - wedding is 13th September, in Truro, Cornwall. I have nothing to wear, dp has nothing to wear, dd may have something to wear. I brought this for her and was thinking about saving it for the wedding, what do you think?

As for rings we have decided to stick to a plain gold band with the date engraved, what do you think and what are you all doing for rings?

TillyScoutsmum · 09/07/2008 17:15

Good name

I love love love that dress for your dd - its so pretty. How old will she be ?

Dp wants a white gold/platinum russian wedding ring... I'm not keen so they won't be matching !! I want (no, need) platinum because my engagement ring and eternity rings are both plat and they have to be the same metals so they don't wear each other down (or at least this is the story I'm peddling to DP). I wouldn't be adverse to having a couple of diamonds in there but dp is being a tightwad bit cautious with spending, so we'll have to see. We're off to the jewellery quarter next week. I quite like this

OP posts:
Foxymolly · 09/07/2008 17:48

She'll be 10 months Tilly, no doubt she'll be crawling over the registry office

I love that ring, thats something I would like, its simple, understated but beautiful.

I dont normally wear rings so I'm bit worried
about how I'm going to on with my wedding ring.

Tilly I think you are the mpost organised b2b on here!

TillyScoutsmum · 09/07/2008 18:02

No - I'm not !! Lovemygirls is getting married next September and has just bought stuff to make invites I haven't even got mine yet (only kidding LMG btw)

Wedding ring will probably feel weird at first but it'll be fine after a couple of weeks and you'll feel odd without it.

10 months is such a cute age. Tilly is 14 months (pics on profile - sorry have just added them and want someone to see them ) Still haven't decided on their dresses - don't know if I want something simple like this or something a bit elaborate like this. I think I prefer the first ones ??

So do you want help with looking for wedding clothes ? (on here not in rl obviously )

OP posts:
Foxymolly · 09/07/2008 18:17

WOW! LMG - your eager!

Your dd is gorgeous, beautiful blue eyes!

I prefer the first dress as well, its stunning, she look adorable in it

I'd love help looking for wedding clothes, I've decided to go with something a little more casual than on the other thread.

Is it strange for you when we call you Tilly as its your dd'd name? Would you prefer us to call you TSM or are you used to it?
Molly is my dog but I got used to being called it

It was a bit odd at first but I'm used to being called Tilly now (although I might name change - apparently having mum in your name is a bit mn no no according to some). Trying to think of something witty ....and failin, I could be "Bridezillakilla" or I could fancy something children's tv related (clearly I only have weddings and CBeebies in my life atm ), maybe "Upsydaisysatrollop"

Ok - clothes... How tall are you ? Could you do a maxi dress ? (thinking quite summery, floaty, boho looking)

OP posts:
TillyScoutsmum · 09/07/2008 19:08

I love this dress. Could wear it with a little shrug like this if you want to cover your arms. Monsoon sizes are quite generous. (If its of interest - I was an 18 a few months ago and have got down to a 14 on Slimfast and then Cambridge diet - hoping to get to a 12 for wedding if poss).

OP posts:
TillyScoutsmum · 09/07/2008 19:11

this is beautiful as well, if you can't do maxi dresses. Very floaty and feminine but still sexy

OP posts:
Foxymolly · 09/07/2008 19:18

I'm 5ft5" Tilly, really like the dress and love the shrug.

I definatly wanna go for the summery, floaty look (a bonus as it doesn't cling!)

I cant do slim fast as I hate milkshakes, although if you a lost a lot of weight really quickly on it I might give it a go. Whats the cambridge diet?

If I'm going casual and relaxed what can dp wear?

Loving bridezillakilla!

Foxymolly · 09/07/2008 19:19

Whats a maxi dress?

TillyScoutsmum · 09/07/2008 19:58

Oh - its just what they call those long dresses (like the first one) - not great if you're very short but you would be fine at your height

Dp could do smart dark jeans (or trousers) and a lovely shirt (maybe linen to go with the floaty/summery theme ?)

Cambridge Diet is similar to Slimfast insofar as it is meal replacement. There are various options (milkshake, soups, biscuit type things and chocolate bar thingies). You also get a counsellor for weigh ins/advice etc. and online forums (so a bit like Weightwatchers). It costs about £35 per week but if you're not buying any other food, then its not too bad. Gets results quickly but is as boring as hell and there's no way I could/would do it for more than, say, 4-5 weeks.

Slimfast do bars and soups now, as well as the shakes. Again, short term fix only I reckon

Am off to find more dresses - I love shopping especially if I'm spending other people's money

OP posts:
Foxymolly · 09/07/2008 20:06

Thank you Tilly, I'm useless at shopping, I never know what will lokk good. Hate shopping for me but I'm gonna see if I can find a linen shirt for dp, I'll enjoy that.

Which one would give results the quickest do you think Tilly? Slimfast or cambridge?

SmallShips · 09/07/2008 20:09

You caused me a mild panic attack when you said it was my wedding eve TSM lol, thought i'd lost a day, im so frazzled i actually had to check i wasnt getting married tomorrow!

I still havent done anything oh i did buy some nibbles for the drinks reception.

Glad you're back Foxy, love the cute little boden dress for your DD.

TillyScoutsmum · 09/07/2008 20:12

Might be a bit flowery for your tastes but i think this is stunning

lovely as well

love it

If they haven't got your size online, you can ring customer services and they might be able to find one for you or buy a size or so smaller and then you know you've got to get into it (I've ordered a size smaller wedding dress and am quite frankly f*cked if it doesn't fit - best part of £700 down the drain - that's enough to put me of my food )

OP posts:
TillyScoutsmum · 09/07/2008 20:16

Sorry SS - I am a dippy mare . Nibbles is good. As long as everyone has enough to eat and drink, everything will be fine. Do you know what you're doing with your hair yet ? Any pics ?

Foxy - I think Cambridge is quicker but more difficult because all 3 meals a day are replaced whereas Slimfast is only brekkie and lunch and then you have a "calorie controlled" meal for dinner -which is where it all goes horribly wrong for me cos if I'm eating, I want to eat what I want. I'm a bit all or nothing when it comes to dieting
