fifisworld · 03/07/2008 21:50

Good luck for saturday tft

teafortwo · 03/07/2008 21:52

thanks fifisworld!

teafortwo · 03/07/2008 21:54

I am prancing round the bedroom in my dress - don't want to take it off he he he!!!

Last time I was a bridesmaid I ended up sleeping in my dress - think this dress could be going that way too on Saturday. But I will get married in in first!!! He he he!!!

SmallShips · 03/07/2008 22:02

Hope you have a great day teafortwo!

Everytime i put my dress on i hate taking it off!

Did you find a cardi?

differentID · 03/07/2008 22:10

I really hope you have a fab day. Will be sending good weather wishes your way.

TillyScoutsmum · 03/07/2008 22:39

What time are you getting married ? Metcheck at the moment says it nice from 1pm (sunny with clouds but 21 degrees - no cardy required)

OP posts:
teafortwo · 03/07/2008 22:49

TSM - Be careful saying things like that about the weather or I might end up marrying you!!!

11.15am is m. moment...and then whizzing at 11.45 to Covent Garden for the photo shoot - by which time it will be nearlyish one surely!

The dress is blue and I found a green cardi - it goes in an Amelie kind of way the light pink light scarf makes it look a bit Parisian for if it is just a bit chilly (with dress) or really cold (with green cardi too). The description sounds bad but it does look ok think??? So Panic over! Thanks for sticking with me over that one!!

TillyScoutsmum · 03/07/2008 22:54

Pack a brolly just to keep your hair covered until you get to the photo shoot - few light showers in the morning apparently

Disclaimer: I am not a meteorologist and if Metcheck is wrong and it pisses down all down, it's not my fault

Supposed to be lucky for it to rain on your wedding day....something to do with fertility. You have been warned

scarf and cardi sound very much in with the boho thing

All you ladies who are getting married before me better not disappear off the thread otherwise I'll be talking to myself by the time it comes round to my wedding. I'm soooo impatient

OP posts:
teafortwo · 03/07/2008 23:00

TSM - I will buy one in London as mine has broken and dps is massive - ha ha ha - his brolly that is - it would be a right pain on the train!!!!

Dropdeadfred · 04/07/2008 07:30

Best of luck for your wedding - I hope it is everything you dreamt it to be. I will keep fingers crossed for weeather.

fifisworld · 04/07/2008 10:15

I went back to my dress shop on Wednesday to get a brochure for the mens suits ( well that was my excuse ) and showed MIL my dress...i was desperate to ask to try it on again but the shop was really busy so didn't

differentID · 04/07/2008 10:24

Don't feel too bad. My mum wasn't able to see me in mine before the wedding and she said it made that the day all the more special.

teafortwo · 04/07/2008 10:49

Thanks all - toodle pip - just going to get the train now!

TillyScoutsmum · 04/07/2008 11:13

toodlepip - see you after your wedding fortnight when you'll be Mrstea Have fun !

OP posts:
fifisworld · 04/07/2008 12:16

I just wanted to try it on for me coz i love it soooo much

TillyScoutsmum · 04/07/2008 13:28

Fifi Plenty of time to get lots of trying on done - just ring them before and make an appointment cos you want your MIL to see it (or you need reminded what it looks like for flowers/jewellery/shoes etc.)

I can't wait for my actual dress to come in. I've only tried it on in ivory so am quite nervous about seeing it in red for the first time

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 04/07/2008 13:34

How many times is it acceptable to try your dress on do you think?

Haven't chosen the one yet but when I do I'm sure I will want to try it on lots and lots!

babyinacorner · 04/07/2008 17:31

Teafor2 - best of luck for tomorrow xx

differentID · 04/07/2008 21:52

best of luck for tomorrow Teafortwo.

TillyScoutsmum · 05/07/2008 12:07

Teafortwo will now be a married woman - hoorah

DP is now away until Thursday so I will be bored bored bored and will be on here lots. Anyone got anything else to share ?

Stilllovefoxes - if you're around, please come back and say hi. We miss you .... and the offer of a shopping buddy still stands

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 05/07/2008 16:30

I've been out looking at cakes today and booked another appt for next saturday with a wedding dress maker.

Dp is complaining all i ever talk about is weddings and we've got 18mths to go (we havent actually, we've got 15mths) and that we don't need to sort anything yet, erm yes we do, we need to look at stuff so final decisions can be made, knowing we've looked around and are getting what we want for what we can afford. Harrummppffffffffffff

Sigh........I'm going to be such a brideszilla if i'm not careful!

I think we need to talk about stuff and look at stuff together or else I'm going to end up having to go back to places to look at things with him iyswim

All of you who have already planned stuff, how did you go about getting the groom to show an interest in making decisions? He's been good about the church and the reception but he seems to think everything else can wait and that I don't need to keep mentioning it daily. To me the planning is part of the big day and I'm as excited about planning it as I am about the day itself and the marriage! Am I mentioning it too much? Should I just put everything on hold for 6months then be panicking and rushing?

smurfgirl · 05/07/2008 17:20

I keep meaning to post on this, I have organised everything now really, just details, starting to get invite replies My planning pictures are here:

LoveMyGirls · 05/07/2008 17:31

Love how you're having your hair and the tiara and the dress looks lovely on you!

How long have you been planning your wedding? When's the big day? How long have you been with your dh2b?

babyinacorner · 05/07/2008 17:47

sships - have you looked at the forecast recently? it looks dreadful,it's very depressing...

Love my Girls - you sound very organised already,I wouldn't stress too much - we planned ours in 10 months and it was fine.maybe hold off till it's a year away!
