TMMJ....I would be touched to receive a good luck gift from a child. Not naff...children can give anything and it's not naff!

TillyScoutsmum · 06/08/2008 15:35

Ooh Fred - how's it going ? Much left to do ? Are you having any pampering type things done ? What's the weather report like ? I got married on 9th August first time, funnily enough and it was absolutely scorching

TMMJ - I suppose it depends on the bride. I wouldn't find it naff (I had loads at my first wedding) but I would probably give it after the photos have been done so the bride can put them somewhere safe (with pressies/bouquet etc.) rather than wondering what to do with them during the pics

TSM - the weather looks appalling! Torrential rain forecast...and the ground will be too wet for us to marry outside now...

I am having nails done tomorrow - had hair cut and coloured before holiday...just need to sit still and draw breath for 5 mins!!!

TillyScoutsmum · 06/08/2008 15:40

Ah bugger about the forecast

Have a couple of glasses of fizz for the next couple of nights - celebrate your last few days of living in sin and get you accustomed to it before Saturday

lilmissmummy, my boys are 3.6y and 20m.. my nepwhew is 2.10y... they've got pink cravats and waiscoats to wear with white shirts and black trousers... oh they look so cute and ds1 cried when i had to take it off (for fear of getting it dirty!)

we're also getting a M&S cake!

i found planning all this easy.... i was born to plan!!!!! am also a very organised person! plus dp and i have rushed every aspect of our relationship... so why change a habit of a lifetime!

drop dead fred, when do you get married?? all my friends say the last 2 weeks are manic!!!

saralou · 06/08/2008 16:39

d'oh, just seen, the 9th! saturday... wow!! how exciting!!

Dropdeadfred · 06/08/2008 16:45

Its exciting sarahlou but stressful too!!! I didn't even have wedding cars booked for myself and bridesmaids til this morning. I am so unorganised!!!

saralou · 06/08/2008 17:04

oh god i would hate that... i was panicking last week that i didn't have shoes!!!

actually i still have things to do, but i'm dragging them out now to keep off the boredom of waiting!!

Dropdeadfred · 06/08/2008 18:09

Oh I have shoes...I really do have shoes!!

hughjarssss · 06/08/2008 18:32

WOW! Love the shoes Dropdead!

I need shoes!

My dress is just a normal wedding dress, you know the sort, staplesless. Its ankle length so one will see the shoes.
I'm not used to walking in heels so I'm bit nervous about it.

If anyone has any links to any reasonable priced ones I'd like to see them!

saralou · 06/08/2008 18:57

wow, fred you have the most stunning gorgeous pair of shoes!!!

i'll try to find the site i got mine from, i only spent £50 on mine!

saralou · 06/08/2008 19:08

i can't find the one i used, but their are millions! what price range you looking at spending?? open or closed toe? i'm assuming low heel..

hughjarssss · 06/08/2008 19:10

Closed toe and (yes you guessed right saralou!) low heel.

£50 sounds perfect!

saralou · 06/08/2008 19:21

these are mine was really good on delivery, iwent for the cheapest which was supposed to take 2 weeks and i got them in less than 1 week!
they have loads on their!

saralou · 06/08/2008 19:22

(mine are called fifi, that link does take you to the website!)

saralou · 06/08/2008 19:28

i like some of these and less than £50

TillyScoutsmum · 06/08/2008 19:30

DDF - I've been dreaming about those shoes.... I am massively jealous

saralou - that site looks great. I want red shoes for me and the girls and I notice they do a colour dyeing service as well. Looks pretty reasonable. Are the sizes about normal (or do they come up bigger/smaller) ?

OP posts:
hughjarssss · 06/08/2008 19:42

saralou - Fab site! Thank you!

Found a pair I like, they said they come up narrow. Do you think its worth odering both sizes and returning one pair?

babyinacorner · 07/08/2008 09:40

Hi Everyone - I'm back but cant type much at the mo as my 1yr old wants to help with the typing!anyway - i'll be back to tell more but thought you might want to see the wedding pics this page, we are last one martin and kate

babyinacorner · 07/08/2008 09:47

TillyScoutsmum · 07/08/2008 10:01

Wow BIAC ! Congratulations. Your photos are fantastic - I don't know where to start. You look absolutely beautiful. The bridesmaids dresses are so pretty and it looks like the weather held out for you ? Venue is stunning and your centrepieces, cakes etc all look fantastic. My fave photos are the ones of you both with your ds (and assuming he is yours - he is the spitting image of you )

Will stop now because I've run out of adjectives It looks like you had a wonderful time though. Come and tell us when you get chance

OP posts:
saralou · 07/08/2008 10:20

shoes came up a normal size... i would order the 2 and send back the one thats not right! but thats because i'm impatient and lazy too just use the cheapest delivery!!!!

buy some gel pads party feet thingys too if your not used to wearing heels.. that website sells them but they are cheaper by about 50p in boots/tesco's!

i'm waiting in today for my wrap here i so hope it's as lovely as it looks!! i can't wait to see it!!

saralou · 07/08/2008 10:22

Can i join this thread?

I think i may have offended you all though on a thread i started. I. wrongly, assumed that everyone was having a fancy day and said i couldn't post here. Tillyscout corrected me.

I am very sorry
