PP I'm very tempted by it but part of me thinks this is the one day in my whole life I'll get to wear a white dress, I think I'll regret it if I don't go for white with blue details otoh it would be totally different and I do hate to be the same as everyone else......

1 week to go......wow, how do you feel other than worried you'll have a cold? (btw for his cold I suggest taking vitamin c tablets, lots of sleep, fluid and olbas, warm baths) Fingers crossed that you are both fit as fiddles on your wedding day! (if not get some beechams flu plus in to take)

What kind of favours are you having?

First song.....no idea, I've not a clue about mine either, hopefully someone will come along with a good idea. If all else fails what about Shania Twain?

PanicPants · 19/07/2008 19:18

Right, will go and get some vit C tablets first thing tomorrow and start popping them like mad!

Yep, I like Shania, and just about everything else, it's Dp who is the fussy one.

I'm really nervous, my stomach is already doing sumersults.

LoveMyGirls · 19/07/2008 19:20

and orange juice

LoveMyGirls · 19/07/2008 19:21

Whats his fav style of music?

PanicPants · 19/07/2008 19:49

He likes savage garden, phil collins etc.

Will strawberries do? Do they contain much vit c?

LoveMyGirls · 19/07/2008 19:59

Strawberries are a good start!

PanicPants · 19/07/2008 20:04

I having chocolate fudge as my favours and have to make them up yet.

I've bought a BIG tub of fudge pieces, and wonder if I open the tub, then take each piece of fudge out and wrap in organza with ribbon, will they go 'funny' by next week?

Whaddya think?

Thought I'd post separately as well!

TillyScoutsmum · 19/07/2008 20:21

Berrocca tabs are good as well PP (multi vit and mineral)

Your church sounds beautiful and as for chocolate fudge....mmmmmmm

Oh oh oh oh we've agreed on a song!! Billy Joel - I love you just the way you are!

I like it, he likes it - sorted! Thanks TSM!

LoveMyGirls · 19/07/2008 20:38

Brilliant PP!!

LoveMyGirls · 19/07/2008 20:38

I quite like Lonestar, might have it for me or eva cassidy......good list TSM!

PanicPants · 19/07/2008 20:40

I wanted Enrique - Hero, but dp said I'd be thinking more about Enrique than him!

teafortwo · 19/07/2008 21:11

Panicpants.... I love that song too. I reckon it will start as a dance and end as a swim... because I am sure you in your dress and that song - there won't be a dry eye in the house - seriously you'll be swimming the last verse!!!

TillyScoutsmum · 19/07/2008 21:25

Good choice - that was the one I was singing to myself whilst I cooked tea after I did the list Lovely

I love Hero. Dp hates it after I drove him crazy with it. We were driving back from staying with friends in Manchester after they shut the motorway. And I was in love with this song so I played it loads and now he cant hear it without thinking about that traffic jam!

I love the idea of favours, thats one thing I wish I could do but I think I would be silly with only a few guests!
Chocolate fudge - what a brilliant idea!

teafortwo · 19/07/2008 22:17

Foxy - we did favours for the children. A pretty wooden toy each. They were wooden frames with pictures of animals inside. Each picture had spots on it and inside the frame were little balls that you had to put on the spots. They all seemed to love them!!!

You should do wedding favours if you want to. It would be fun. Are you still going to go seal watching after???

teafortwo · 19/07/2008 22:21

p.s - just youtubing 'hero' as I have no idea what this song is!

teafortwo · 19/07/2008 22:23

p.p.s - I lasted 20 seconds - Foxy shame on you making your dp listen to that over and over!!!!!

foxymolly · 19/07/2008 22:27

Hopefully T42, Everyone really wants to, I will be able to book it on monday so fingers crossed it'll all be ok.

I love the idea of giving the children favours, really sweet.
Hmmm .. what could I do for favours? Something fun. There are only two children at my wedding and one of them is dd, so it would have to be something aimed at the adults. Have to ask dp if he can think of anything when he stops snoring!

teafortwo · 19/07/2008 23:22

OK - now I know your dp snores I forgive all that 'hero' business - it was payback!!!

TillyScoutsmum · 20/07/2008 09:38

Foxy - how about something like this for adults or this

And little bottles of bubbles and/or a little jigsaw for dc's
or the shot glasses with sweets on this page could work for everyone

TillyScoutsmum · 20/07/2008 14:55

LMG - have you seen this dress

OP posts:
teafortwo · 20/07/2008 15:04

At the bbq for my parents we bought some bottles of champagne to share with all the adults and bubbles for the children - the bubbles were a real hit.... mmm.... as was the champagne!!!

Hey Foxy Lady??? (I am a big Hendrix fan couldn't resist calling you that... sorry!!!) ...What about one present for the adults and one for the kiddies?

My Mum, who is a dear sweetie, had colected rose petals from her own and her neighbours gardens, dried them and then she had made beautiful cones to put them in. She gave everyone a cone filled with dried roses. They started off throwing them at us but then, I got hold of one and so did dh and we started throwing them back and then it turned into a petal fight everone throwing them at each other. It was such fun!!!!

teafortwo · 20/07/2008 15:08

LMG - I like the last dress from tsm... princessy but also very sophisticated too.

TillyScoutsmum · 20/07/2008 15:14

ooh - and look Foxy this is the design your dress is based on I think

Can you tell I'm bored people
