I am snorking about watering the pal's pants - under the circs

purpleturtle · 09/08/2005 12:03

Well, we have breakthrough thanks to sweetie bribery in that ds will actually sit down on the potty, albeit briefly, today.

Hasn't put anything in it, obviously. One pair of wet pants & trousers so far.

Not sure how long this is going to last...

potty training when they are in nursey is soooooo easy - a good reason to be a working mum

purpleturtle · 09/08/2005 12:27

maybe I should just postpone till we're living by the beach?!

Yaaayyyy! He just weed (sp?)in the potty! Great round of applause from loopy mummy and big sister. Maybe it can be done.

And just think, if it weren't for Cod's thread I'd be leaving it till he started school.

Milge · 09/08/2005 12:38

cod, how do you get them to poo on the potty not in a nappy? am suffering the same trouble as triceratops and don't want ds to start witholding and getting constipated

Doing well so far, 3 wees on the toilet. He did do one in his nappy too though when we popped to the shops.

As far as poos go Ds seems scared too but I did manage to get him to stay on the tiolet long enough to do one. He held onto me for dear life though and I had to keep talking to him and rubbing his back.

Our lunchtime roundup - 2 wet trousers, 3 productive trips to potty.

I am actually very impressed, given that at the start of the day he wouldn't even sit down on a potty.

cod, tried that trick, didn't work, he ran round screaming "nappy on,nappy on, no nappy in potty, nappy on XXXX( his name)". he gets a nappy at night and poos in that before he goes to sleep. Am very but hoping he gets the runs and will have to go in a less controlled manner.
Ping pong balls down the loo, esp coloured ones worked a treat for his, ahem, "aim"

ninah · 09/08/2005 13:51

so how about at night? ds still sleeps in nappies which are v wet by morning
planning to change over next month prob - any advice?
