New thread.

May our nights be dry, our days free of wicking, and may growth spurts coincide with lovely new fluffy product releases. Hurrah!

just popping on to say hello! Clement's rash seems to be gone again, but I've not put him in cloth again. Might be brave and try again tomorrow (with the boil washed Cotton Tots!), but I think I'll have him in daytime cloth for a few days before even thinking about all night in cloth. But I sooooo miss cloth for night, as we're getting wet clothes and wet bedding almost every night with disposables! Must remember to put a wrap over it, but I was trying to not have too many layers on him, since heat isn't good for thrush!

Anyway, hope everyone is having a good night!

swampster · 05/11/2009 22:32

Try some wool over a sposie, rachel, that works a treat.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 05/11/2009 22:34

ooh, wool better? I tried fleece last night, but his vest was soaked .... under the fleece pyjamas, which seemed to hold it all in! But the poor wet Clement!

Yup, wool should work fine over sposies. I often use them over pockets which is the same sort of effect.

NEW nappy has arrived! Big box sitting in the hallway but haven't had a chance to open yet! Have a couple of childfree hours this afternoon and will do it then. I am going to take about 5 out for my girls (I have extra pink ones anyway!) and then the rest for nappyweb. I am going to get some picture up on the site later and will let you all know when that is done and you can all have a look. Got to work out prices now - was waiting to see if I got any Cutoms charges which I didn't! Yay.

Octo - I have loads to put on the site which should hopefully bring the income up a little bit eventually but obviously it all takes time. I have the longies and soakers to add and soon some skirties all of which should be fairly easy to sell I hope. They are gorgeous though and will be gutted to see them go!

And hoping to sell some of the new nappy over the next week or so.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 06/11/2009 14:56

Ahhhh just deciding on all the details for the new nappy and its nerve racking! LOL. Been given complete free rain on it all so got to set a RRP, wholesale price, drop shipping price etc. Think I have done it OK but its just a bit scary! LOL. AND I have 100 of them in my living room looking at me!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 06/11/2009 16:05

Can anybody help?

swampster · 06/11/2009 16:15

I think they should be fine, Jenny. Just wool wash them and super-lanolise them. The fabric conditioner thing really applies more to nappies which get coated and lose their absorbency, which isn't really the main worry with longies. Good luck with them.

Octothebaglady · 06/11/2009 16:23

Great news re nappies arriving - seems most stuff coming from anywhere except US gets through customs! Looking forward to seeing them Jenny. I'm not really a wool exper Jenny - but people do terrible things to the ones in the trial kist and they always work again! Hope you manage to sort everything out - email me if you need help.

Was not fluffy post at post office ((grump)).

Have been teaching today - so need to go and sort out kids - football and tea required!

I can't believe its dark

4andnotout · 06/11/2009 16:45

Ooh will have to take a look at nappyweb later then! Dd3 is still doing very well so going to rewash and photograph all the medium itti's over the weekend and list them for sale, I have every colour plus 3 of thelimited editions so hoping to recoup some cash! I might sell my bbos too as I won't need onesized pockets and will only keep a few of my wnos I should imagine.
Dd2 is I'll today so I don't know what we will do tommorow, we were taking them all swimming as that's what dd1 wants to do for her birthday treat, won't have time to do it on sunday which is her actual birthday as we have remeberance service and parade to attend.

mumface · 06/11/2009 18:26

Humph. so much for the fireworks birthday party I was looking forward to. I am sitting at home drinking a beer on my own. Got there all the kids were playing happily, Lewis screamed hysterically 'I want to go home' non stop for an hour it was so bad I just had to bring him home. It was really embarrassing. The kids had new clothes aswell specially. Elliot was so upset he wanted to see the fireworks so left him there, am going to have to fetch him but the other 2 are fast asleep. I quit.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 06/11/2009 19:36

Oh dear mumface - I hope I don't have that problem on sat. We are going to the pub that I work at for fireworks. Elouise usually goes to bed at 6pm, which is the time they start, so hoping for no tantrums.

Elouise didn't want to come home from Nannys, even though she didn't want to go in the first place so DH is sleeping there with her! Will be the first time she has slept there and the only time I have spent a night away from her is when I had Talia, and she was already in bed so didn't know much about it.

I have just added 2 pages to my site. One is "WAHM made wollies" and the other is "YoYoo pockets" Let me know what you think

Thanks myjob

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 06/11/2009 21:02

Octo/Babybots - who is it that needs to approve my membership for the retailers forum thingy? Bit confused about it all but I can't get on to it yet - says I need to be approved?

mumface · 06/11/2009 21:36

Does anybody here use foaming wipes solution? I tried some today in a little pump bottle, but found I had to use 2-3 squirts to get the wipe wet enough to clean up. But it has just occurred to me are you supposed to use it on damp wipes and only use one squirt, cause I can't see the bottle lasting very long! Or do you just put one squirt in some water then soak the wipes in it?

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 06/11/2009 21:51

Mumface I found the same. I think it is a very expensive way of doing it TBH. I bought it so that I could take dry wipes out with me but haven't ever done so because as you say, you need a lot. Wouldn't buy it again. I now wet the wipes, squeeze them out and then keep them in a small tub or my monkey foot bag.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 06/11/2009 21:53

Was it one of you guys who just bought the large longies?

Octothebaglady · 06/11/2009 21:58

Hi Jenny - the nappies look good - do they have cross over poppers ont he front for a newborn? I can't make out whether the bamboo/micro insert in the photo goes in the pocket as it says or the pocket is bamboo?? Or have got it completely wrong - or it is like an itti? It just that it says that the bamboo is next to the skin - so am thinking the pocket outer is bamboo? Sorry - confused!

Octothebaglady · 06/11/2009 22:00

Mumface - I would wet them and take them out in small wet bag - I can see the attraction of sprays though and nice smelly stuff!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 06/11/2009 22:16

They don't have cross over tabs at the moment, but have put the suggestion accross to the retailer. I have said on there that I recomend from about 3 months.

The inner of the pocket is bamboo and the outter PUL - I will check the description now as I thought I had said that? Must not be clear enough. The insert is just like a normal one, goes in the pocket but does have a popper to keep it in place although you don' thave to use it. Its handy when washing as you can pul the pocket out for washing and drying but both parts can stay attached if you want them to.

Octothebaglady · 06/11/2009 22:46

I get it now! The fabric of the pocket is bamboo and the insert is bamboo/microfibre. So kind of like the new easyfit? but yours can popper in and out rather than fixed. I'm with you! I'm not selling all in ones anymore - but may get one to try anyway!

JABULA · 06/11/2009 23:24

Mumface - I use that reusable wipe stuff just for convenience when I'm out. Is bit pricey to use all the time at home I think.

Another one will be with you shortly

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 06/11/2009 23:26

Octo - they arn't all in ones, they are pocket nappies. Bit like a coolababy or bumgenious but with bamboo

mumface · 06/11/2009 23:27

Thanx, think I will save them for out and about (which is not much lately!) otherwise I think I would get through one a day
