Can anyone tell me if the faulty itti's took a few washes to go funny? My medium mint is one of the most recent ones yet the outer has crinkled up It is the only one (other than one that i bought already like it) so cant be the way i wash the nappies

LatinDAISYcal · 21/10/2009 21:02

oooh, longies gorgeous tree

I finally sort of sussed short rows but they are too noticeable on one side!

BUT....I do need an answer to a lanolizing question if anyone can help. Can I lanolize superwash wool? I know it won't felt, but is it OK for soakers? If not bumble will have a lovely pair of blue knitted leggings!

Meant to be working as I'm meeting the council nappy lady tomorrow to try and convince her to get some trial kit nappies from me

I'm in for secret santa; what info do you need Octo?

treedelivery · 21/10/2009 21:15

Daisy - apparently not. It's treated with some oil or other and therefore doesn't take the lanolin very well. It might be ok-ish but never hardcore bombproof. Now I may be totaly wrong. In total awe of your knitting btw.

4 - Mine took a few to go funny, all of a sudden out of the blue. You have a rouge one my dear!

Do you like it? Wasn't sure if I had gone a bit OTT with the pictures? I am planning to revamp all of it, page by page over the next few weeks as when I originally did it, I didn't have a clue what I was doing! Not that I know loads now but still more than I did! Glad to see people are still going on my site though! Orders have been a bit slow this week. Am hoping that the babyshow is to blame.

mumskullface · 21/10/2009 21:19

4 I have had it happen to 2 of mine, mint & lime and it didn't occur until after I had been using them for a few weeks. It seems to be a thing that progresses with washing.

4GHASTLYGHOULSandnotout · 21/10/2009 21:23

Bugger Looks like it is a duff one then, i know i bought it new but can't remember who from

I am now in love with the ooga booga flongies that were for sale on CNT, i would love a pair for the dd's but i bet they are expensive.

Im sitting here listening to dp snoring infront of the footie, on the plus side at least he isn't trying to nab the pc from me tonight!

Babybots · 21/10/2009 21:28

4 - sounds like a dodgy one most of the ones we had back were after about 2-3 weeks of use. just return it.

MyJob - Ok, but if it bugs you i'll swap it. maybe the sizings/ labels wrong on one or the other? hmmm

Octo - will do secret santa!

4GHASTLYGHOULSandnotout · 21/10/2009 21:32

I can't remember where i bought it from though, fluffy post all merges into a beautiful fluffy haze after a while

DD4 is 1 on friday how did that happen?

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 21/10/2009 21:36

how do you use lansinoh to lanolize? I have half a tube somewhere!

Babybots · 21/10/2009 22:49

Myjob - No i dont want any thing for them i've aquired them for free. I've emailed you about soaker too.

Im not sure, but ive been sent a thing of lasinoh to lanilise a swaddlebees Merino wrap with instructions!

To use a pea sized amount in half a cup of boiling water. to this add a tps of baby wash or wool wash. Pour mixture in a sink full of tepid water and soak for 15-30 mins. Squeeze out water by rolling in a towel and dry. ???

Not sure if that helps or if you need more for more wool
