Jabula - you were looking for size 2 rainbow fleece wrap? Tb? You still looking? I have one I can part with! Didn't know you were looking - so frustrating we are not allowed to discuss selling/swaps on here!

4andnotout · 29/09/2009 08:27

swampster · 29/09/2009 09:45

job- I'm weaning off the boob too. It's such a hard thing to do isn't it? I gave into a 6am feed. I thought would explode otherwise!!

To your questions - yes and yes

Only joking. I get asked that alot! When I have a proper half hour I'll run through the pro's and con's as I see them Have you looked into any training pathways? Its about 4 years full time

4andnotout · 29/09/2009 12:28

Myjob how is weaning N off the boob going? DP's family keep telling him i should be weaning her off bf but she isnt even 1 yet Im holding out for a bit.

ellielou02: oooh, what kind of nappy is this? and where?

as for weaning from breastfeedinding,I never had to do it early, thankfully! Abigail my 1st didn't fully wean from her bedtime feed until she was 2.5+ years old and I was preg with baby # 3! (Yes, she fed through my entire 2nd pregnancy!) LOL And Benjamin weaned at 2 years old, a month before Clement (baby 3) was born, though he has had a wee drink every now and again since then, but not any for the past several weeks. So just Clement feeding now, and he's 5.5 months old, and not planning to wean anytime soon, that's for sure....even though he keeps begging for foods and loves to eat big people food!

LatinDAISYcal · 29/09/2009 16:19

4, is DH listening to his family about weaning? If they are getting to you, you can always tell them that the WHO say until 2 these days! or failing that, tell them to mind their own! My MIL is making "still feeding him yourself" noises at me every time she sees me do it. I just smile beatifically and say yes in a way that makes it clear to her that I'm not being drawn into a conversation about it. I know her questions will ramp up a gear after he is one, but at the end of the day, my baby my rules as it were. DH makes the odd bleat about getting his "boys" back, which I assume he is joking about, and if he isn't he knows better than to make an issue of it as in a him or BFing situation the BFing will win hands down!!

Sorry getting all soapboxy there, but it irritates the hell out of me that some people think they can comment on other people's parenting choices.

I would love to do midwifery, but fear I'm waaaaay too old. I did look into it when DS1 was a baby but I was a single parent then and it would have been impossible with childcare the way the course worked at the local college as it was done on a block release basis and involved 12 hour shifts at the matenity hospital.

4andnotout · 29/09/2009 16:32

Dp keeps hinting that it won't be for much longer but I fully intend to bf for as long as she wants it, I never managed to bf the others so doing it now this far in in is brilliant and I don't want to stop and most importantly neither does she. Tilly-Grace is physically tiny so I think bf top ups as well as loads o different solid foods is doing her the world of good. I think managing to bf her successfully is also a part of why I want another baby, I feel like I have cracked it now iyswim.

The nappy patches came - they are lush - super pleased - will photograph tonight and upload - they are so much bigger too - the peas and carrots are fab!

My WN owls arrived - very cute indeed.

So good fluffy post here today

Will chat later - need to do a Beaver run, cook tea, Beaver pick up, eat tea, bedtime ... etc

4andnotout · 29/09/2009 17:31

Ooh is the pink cat lush? I'll need one for the black BBOS that hasn't arrived yet...bloody postal strikes gah!!

mumface · 29/09/2009 18:10

Octo This may be a silly question, but if you sew the patch on a pocket nappy or AI2, will it not create little holes in the PUL that may cause the nappy to leak?
