jenny: I'm always pleased and willing to test nappies!

thinks out loud On second thoughts, I think I should get 2 different minkee wraps, because it's very possible they'll not work for Benjamin (since he wears close fitting clothing to keep the clothes on him, bec of eczema) so I ought to get different colours so Clement won't end up with 2 of the same wrap!

But I DO need advice from those who have used UD wraps, please! How is sizing from L to XL? We mainly use XL ME wraps for Benjamin, so will large be too small for him? And, what has better coverage, the side snapping ones or front aplix? The only UD wrap I have is a medium (or m/l?) fleece one, front aplix fastening, and it fits Clement nicely, over size 2 tots bots and m/l Bedbugs - so I'm inclined to think we want aplix fastening, but the side snapping ones might look cuter when not wearing clothes over them. So a bit confused about knowning which one we need.

dippymummyto2boys · 31/08/2009 16:34

Jenny - I would be happy to test nappies on Blakey!

Rachel - the side snap UD wraps are fab but aren't as much coverage at the sides. They don't fit over sandys etc. I haven't tried the aplix wraps. The large are a fair bit smaller that ME XL's, so I would order XLs tbh.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 31/08/2009 16:45

2boys: Thanks for reply! We tend to use Tots Bots nappies (have oodles of Bamboozles and Cotton Tots) which make up about 99% of what we use, apart from the odd BBH and other one-size hemp nappies. So do you know how side snapping ones would fit over Tots Bots? Obviously they don't have as much fabric at the sides as the Sandy's, I'd have thought.

dippymummyto2boys · 31/08/2009 16:51

rachel - tots are very similar to little lambs (I think?) which fit under perfectly. I also used to manage to squeeze fluffles under them ok too, so all tots bots should be fine I think.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 31/08/2009 17:05

OK, good. Then I think I'll go with the poppers, and then Clement can wear them with tshirts next summer! Think I'll get Clement a large lagoon one and Benjamin a XL citrus slush one, as he loves orange/yellow! And maybe I'll get a yellow night nappy ... or would green be better ... decisions!

Fluffy mumsnet meet-up at the Oxford Nappy Fair (31st October)- FAB Idea!! Only problem is - I'm one of the organisers so won't have time to chat. But it would be great for lots of people to come. I thnk there are going to be at least 6 different nappy sellers there, including someone who makes fleece shorties, skirts and matching tops - am I tempting you!! And someonelse who designs and makes breastfeeding tops.

There is also the Totally Tots Baby and Child Fair In Oxfordshire, near Wheatley / Thame on Saturday 26th Sept. I will have a nappy stall there as well, but will be the only one.

dippymummyto2boys · 31/08/2009 17:47

rachel - I like your taste in nappies with that order. Blake has a citrus slush UD wrap - it is lovely!

JennyPenny22 · 31/08/2009 18:11

I am not sure if they had all the colours. I know there wasn't loads there but TBH I wasn't looking to buy them so didn't look properly.

The new nappy that I was saying I may need testers for, isn't avaliable in the UK yet. And they have said that if I get on well with the first batch then I can be the UK distributor. Their usuall min order is 1000 though probably why not avaliable here yet! I am buying 200 and will see if other buyers are interested.
It is a pocket nappy that is onesize, similar to BG etc but it has a bamboo and microfibre insert.

JennyPenny22 · 31/08/2009 18:37

Oh and it will be very cheap too!

Does anyone know how long a custom UD order usually takes? the suspense is killing me! I've just realised that over the Bh weekend I've spend a ridiculous amount on nappies. We were supposed to be camping and had to cancel due to my ear so I've had more time on my hands than i usually would, which is never a good thing when it comes to internet shopping! I've bought two yellow bamboozles (i've wanted a yellow one for ages to complete my rainbow, but accidentally ordered 2 and the seller won't refund the cost of the one I ordered by mistake - ebay grrr), 2 minkis from CNT that I ordered when a bit pissed on Friday night, and my custom patchwork upsy daisy. And from a woman who was supposed to be downsizing her stash and selling stuff off, that is not good! Still excited about them all arriving though!!

Ohhhh i volunteer my services too for nappy testing that is

JennyPenny22 · 31/08/2009 19:11

Well it depends exactly how much the order ends up costing me as to how many people I can afford to send a tester to. I should know tomorrow as I am just waiting for shipping cost and trying to sort out my paypal. I will need to set aside a few testers to send out to other nappy sellers if they are interested in doing a wholesale order from me. Will try not to keep you in suspense too long!
