What bold have you got? The powder? I made the mistake of buying liquid tabs and it is one per wash even for hard water/heavy soiling so I can't use a low dose iyswim? I got the one in the organge box - whatever scent that is but I don't like the smell . It might be just that it is too strong though! I can smell it whenever I go anywhere near the clothes airer!

4andnotout · 04/09/2009 18:43

You know i nearly went for the liquid tabs but figured im only aloud to use a small amount at a time so went for the powder...the P one smelt to orangey for me so opted for lavender

4andnotout · 04/09/2009 18:50

I haven't tried the infusions fragrances yet, i should imagine they are the same formula too, i might have to try another fragrance another day!

JennyPenny22 · 04/09/2009 18:57

I have actually started using ariel gel on my nappies thee last few days and do find my nappies are cleaner AND I have gone from 60 to 40

OP posts:
4andnotout · 04/09/2009 19:00

I gave up on 60 washes too as tbh these days with A rated machines a 40 will probably do as well as a 60. I very rarely have any stains, and if i do get one it is easily sunned out. We live in a hardwater area so i love the softener element to bold.

BaronConker · 04/09/2009 19:26

4 when you sold me your itti insert it smelt lovely and I think that was the orange and something or other one. I used to be a bit nervous of using the really smelly washing powders on nappies, but I've decided that all my children have skin like rhino hides and the perfume doesn't seem to do them any harm, and makes the nappies smell yum! I don't like the softener-iness of Bold so I use Daz or Surf. At the mo I've got mandarin and lime splash and it's yummy =- two people this week have complimented it when walking past my clothes airer!

BaronConker · 04/09/2009 19:30

OOh,have just noticed that I've got 3 votes on CNT now! jenny, me and you are neck and neck, and 4's got - wait for it - 4!! Just in case anyone has a burning urge to vote for me and is having terrible trouble working out which one is me, I'm hatesjazz and I've reviewed the lovely pop in grow.

4andnotout · 04/09/2009 19:31

I'm really excited about that competition and check every hour or so, i'm so tragic!

Octothechildherder · 04/09/2009 20:23

I have voted

Octothechildherder · 04/09/2009 20:28

I LOVE the gro baby. It is so great - was going to wash it but didn;t bother - was on for 5 hours and no leaks - the inner meshy bit felt dry to the touch and would def be able to pop out the inner and put a new one in. Am converted! Back in wash for tomorrow.

After faffing about for ages have decided the easyfit with an extra fuzzi insert works well at night for us.

dippymummyto2boys · 04/09/2009 20:33

4 - I found those grobag socksuits stored in the cupboard today - would you still like them?

I am allergic to persil and ariel, but the bold2in1 gel in the orange scent is fab, but quite pricey now it isn't on offer anymore.

I'll have to have a look through the reviews and vote on cnt!

4andnotout · 04/09/2009 20:40

ooh yes please, how much are they and how do you want paying?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2009 20:42

how does the CNT vote thing work? I actually joined yesterday (although thought I had before but obviously it was another clothie forum )

I also joined using my website name as my username, but I'm not sure that's allowed after reading the welcome notes . Still my website isn't live and probably won't be for a while, so i'll worry about it when I have to!

Octothechildherder · 04/09/2009 20:51

I use my website name too - they are happy to have your website listed etc - very helpful if you email them.

kitkatqueen · 04/09/2009 21:08

Just thought id add Bold 2 in 1 is ok to use on your nappies, (although i dont openly tell customers this as its not reccomended by the manuf)

The main reason they tell you not to use softner is because its oil based and this coats the nappy fibres clogging it up! Bolds softner is clay based and so doesnt do this! I think this just applies to the powder though.

I use it on my son and also brought a big box in tesco this week Its the Orange one so i hope its ok, always used lavender before.

He gets eczema too but hes been ok i do all his clothes in it now.

I love my nice smelling nappies, much softer too.

4andnotout · 04/09/2009 21:50

I use the liquid with no problems

Babybots · 04/09/2009 21:53

Oh great, thats good to know, i've never braved it!

JennyPenny22 · 04/09/2009 21:58

I always thought that liquids would be less likely to clog? I might be completly making that up though and have no evidence of this
