New thread!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Thanks 4andnotout, I'm off to buy some bold 2in1 then. thankyou!

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2009 13:28

how much powder are you using kitkatqueen? most mfrs recommend half the normal amount, but I find even with that you get a build up and they need stripping occasionally.

I usually do this:

  • do a cold wash without detergent
  • do a 60c wash with a full amount of biological detergent
  • do two full rinse cycles without any detergent (or as many rinses as you need to make sure all the soapy bubbles have gone)

4....bold 2in1? does this not stop the nappies working effectively? I've always been advised that conditioner of any kind is a complete no no as it hinders absorbency!

Scotia · 04/09/2009 13:40

Help! I can't decide what WN AI2 to get!

Bold 2in1 contains a cley based softener which doesn't clog the fibres hence is safe to use on nappies

Im £4 off my total needed for my weenotions cart Dp's birthday on Sunday do you think he would appreciate a WNOS in pink paisely border cut with hot pink minkee?

Octothechildherder · 04/09/2009 14:12

I do one wash at 40 degs with clean & fresh. Would suggest washing them with nothing in as you could have a build up of detergent which is causing the smell.

I would then hang them on line for a few days in the rain!

Octothechildherder · 04/09/2009 14:19

Gro baby on - very very slim - like an itti but btp. Will report back again.

Scotia · 04/09/2009 14:21

Ooh Daisy, you have to see this!!!

newspaperdelivery · 04/09/2009 14:21

I agree with Octo and all - loads of washes in plain water and a good overnight stint ont he line in the rain. Plenty of it so thats a happy coincidence!

New ittis?? Argh!!

LOl at 4 and the full collection. You have to keep going 4, you can't stop now!!

kmummy · 04/09/2009 14:32

I pop on here and theres new ittis...WHAT! my obsession has started, order from babybots arrived today with 4 of them....weve tried the jade and royal blue out and they lasted almost 4 hours without a prewash and yes BB im the annoying woman that couldnt decide on size

Octo cant wait to hear about the gro baby...have seen them, quite expensive though hopefully there worth it.

It's a killer, my cart is currently up to about £45 excluding postage, i really want some minkee pantliners but £22.50 i think it will have to wait a few more weeks..

Babybots · 04/09/2009 15:23

Kmummy - You were not annoying, kept us on our toes though

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2009 15:31

My lollipop kit arrives on Tuesday; better get selling

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2009 15:33

thanks for the info on the bold 2in1 four

Might try it as I'm sick to the back teeth of fairy non bio as it doesn't take stains out, of clothes or nappies!!

4andnotout · 04/09/2009 15:41

I use it for all my laundry and love how the fragrance lasts for ages

kitkatqueen · 04/09/2009 15:53

Well, my nappies are in the drier as we speak - really raining here too, Ds1 leaks in anything but the motherease out of the nappies I've got and he's wearing the last one.

They've been rinsed, washed, rinsed again and hard spun so hopefully they will still smell ok when they come out of the drier, if not they will be heading for the line treatment and I will be digging out the nappy pins!

Thanks for all your help

Scotia · 04/09/2009 16:44

Well I finally made up my mind and ordered 2 AI2s from Wee Notions I'm having the butter one with the caterpillar and a pale green one with grasshopper scene. I didn't get the double cut one on their site because I'm not keen on the bubbles minkee.

Now I really can't wait!

Kmummy, your parcel is in the post

thebluefoxategreensocks · 04/09/2009 18:09

oooh, does WN have a sale on or something? I've got about 25 quid on Paypal from various fabrics/zips that I'm clearing out in a pre-moving house clear out...but I'm meant to be adding up my funds along with pushchairs ending on ebay in the morning, so I can buy another Phil & Teds! So i better keep away from WN!

kmummy · 04/09/2009 18:17
