I lost my badge

marthamoo · 17/04/2005 20:36

I have Grade 8 on the flute, I forgot!

(Just sold my flute on ebay...)

I hope you have replaced it, ms moo? [stern face]

A Grade 8 flautist should never be fluteless.

lavenderrr · 17/04/2005 20:39

this is getting abit boastful, who cares about what quals we all have, just chat here

marthamoo · 17/04/2005 20:39

I think dh is cleverer than me in some things - he's more "up" on current affairs, politics etc. (but then he has time to watch the news and read a newspaper) and he's better at maths, logic, science etc.

But he is shockingly badly read - I think he has read one novel in the last 14 years. He only reads science stuff. I'm much better at Trivial Pursuit!

ghosty · 17/04/2005 20:40

I don't think it is boastful Lav, people just sharing ....

Hulababy · 17/04/2005 20:40

My qualifications:

11 GCSEs (only 8 at grade C and above), 3 A Levels, BEd(Hons) 2:1 I also got various German and French certificates at school, and some Undersatnding Indiustry thing...oh and an IT one too. Actually I have just remembered - I won he schools award for excellence at GCSE Computer Science - I got a money prize IIRC.

morningpaper · 17/04/2005 20:40

I once got a certificate of achievement in Basket Weaving.

(My finest hour.)

happymerryberries · 17/04/2005 20:40

Its just a bloody laugh, don't you get the tufty references? Why bother posting? Just ignore the thread

marthamoo · 17/04/2005 20:40

Oh I'm boasting - I'm a bloody genius me

happymerryberries · 17/04/2005 20:41

Marthamoo I always joke with dh that he will only read a book if it has a one word title that is embossed and shiney!

Gobbledigook · 17/04/2005 20:41

My dh is much brighter than me in a lot of ways too - he's got nada qualifications but his general knowledge is way better than mine cos he reads the paper!! I'm crap at knowing about what's going on in the world whereas he knows all about it and the extended history behind it all. He reads absolutely tons of books but he has more time on his hands than me

morningpaper · 17/04/2005 20:41

I'm showing off too

Hey we should have a trivial pursuit game on here...

Hulababy · 17/04/2005 20:41

I just thought it was a bit of fun, and sharing info, lavenderr. Not boasting!

happymerryberries · 17/04/2005 20:41

I stoop to kiss the hem of your robe Moo

ghosty · 17/04/2005 20:42

I could save your life if you were drowning ... does that count?
Morningpaper ... very impressed with basket weaving qualification!

Gobbledigook · 17/04/2005 20:42

Can I list all my brownie and guide badges and athletics achievements?

morningpaper · 17/04/2005 20:42

I think I'm cleverer than DH but then he says something like "Name three members of the opposition" and makes me look like some kind of pet kept for amusing the family.

happymerryberries · 17/04/2005 20:42

Oh hell don't play with me. Dh wouln't play with me any more he sayed I get too agressive

And the people I work with have banned me from music quizzes!

Gobbledigook · 17/04/2005 20:43

mp - nooooo, not triv!! I might be good at academics but not so good at triv!!

Hulababy · 17/04/2005 20:43

DH is probably brighter than me too if I am honest (shh - don't tell him) - he is defintiely better at learning than I am. However we only ever did one subject the same together - A Level Economics. And I beat him He got a B and I got an A. I still remind him regualrly

happymerryberries · 17/04/2005 20:43

Sixer, jester, reader, house orderly (WTF! not any more I can tell you!") Toy maker, singer, hostess

Gobbledigook · 17/04/2005 20:44

Some of us are showing our age a bit according to whether we have O levels or GCSEs!

morningpaper · 17/04/2005 20:44

I'm sure I got a badge for knowing how to pack a suitcase.

Why do they teach 8 year olds that? So they can run away and still have nicely folded clothes?!
