I am pretty knackered, happy to be home. New Bum is absolutely gorgeous and doing brilliantly. Everything is all much better than we could possibly have dreamed, so far.

lollipopmother · 06/02/2009 11:02

I have a brand new Stacinator in lucky charm print if anyone wants it, medium. I love the look of it but I don't think i'll use it as I have wool coming. I'd want £10 which would include recorded delivery.

MildWest Until a couple of nights ago I've been using PUL wraps at night with very few problems. Now have a wool Stacinator which I LOVE!! Must take a pic for you ladies to see. Now considering getting some longies.

Has anyone used Nappy Nation Bamboo? I'm tempted to get one.

MildWest · 06/02/2009 12:46

Ok, will give wool a try tonight. Thanks Rachel for the tip re. clothing. We use a grobag, so I think I can just put her in a loose long-sleeved vest, another long sleeved top and the nappy combo. Maybe some long socks just to be on the safe side...photo opportunity for sure.

Let's see how we go.

Natty, I treated mine using Lansinoh nipple cream - mixed it up with some baby shampoo and warm water and left to soak overnight. They did take a while to dry (about 24 hours) and I need to do this every week for 3 weeks, then less regularly. Only required about 5 minutes of my actual attention.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 06/02/2009 12:50

Has anyone tried these for night for toddlers who are dry during the day?

4andnotout · 06/02/2009 13:41

Im swapping some nappies for 2 pairs of longhies, i tried wool before but i put tight babygros on with wasn't the best idea in the world
I use airflows or totswraps at night with no leaks.

cyteen · 06/02/2009 16:34

rusmum yes, email me on challengeher at hotmail dot com and we can arrange

thebluefoxategreensocks · 06/02/2009 20:28

ilovemydog: Yes, we use them (ME Bedwetter Pants) every night for Abigail (3yo, who potty trained herself last Sept/Oct)! And they are fab! They work soo well, and will contain lots of urine if necessary! I was debating recently whether or not they were needed for her, but she seems to have started being wet in the night again occasionally (after a few months of total dry nights - I think she's not getting enough sleep?). Anyway, I have 3 pairs that I got secondhand and I don't know what I'd do without them! They're very expensive new (and still pricey secondhand even), but I was fortunate enough to get a bundle of 3 at a real bargain price (never before or after seen any so cheap), and I'll never be getting rid of them! LOL They'll be great for later children when they get to the stage she's at! They're very sturdy and I can see them lasting for quite a few children even! Abigail isn't keen on the idea of nappies, but she calls them her "nappy pants" and is quite OK about wearing them - and they pull up & down nicely for when she needs the toilet. As far as sizing goes, the ones I have are "small", and I'm sure she should actually be in "xs" for her weight, but they fit just fine for nights (would be bulky for daytime wear) but they're nice & comfy and would fit her for years to come if needed.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 06/02/2009 20:41

I think we're all going over to wool, huh?! LOL I recently got some pre-loved wool shorties for Benjamin (must see if I have a pic of him wearing them - they're really cute! and work soooo well! ). And today I've just bought 2 more shorties from the same lady (her mum knitted them and they're really fab!). Also have a pair of brand new Disana wool pants on order from Twinkle (when they get more in stock! ). And managed to get another of the same (Disana), but hand dyed a speckled orange from someone today! And yesterday found someone with a Stacinator Wool Wrap, so swapping a couple of pockets for it! So I've got lots of wooly fluff coming in the post soon! yay!

ilovemydogandMrObama · 06/02/2009 20:54

Rachel Oh, thank you! DD has been quite good with the potty training (other than one big accident this morning, but we did put trousers on...) and she doesn't understand the 'no nappy' during the day, but a nappy at night...

But fortunately my mom is visiting from California and is happy to bring stuff. She's loaded up with Bum Genius/Motherease...

May join the wool brigade if Cambridge Baby ever answer emails/voice mails!

rusmum · 06/02/2009 21:07

Lollipop Thank you! That works!

Come around ours as DS likes to be up at night! It's party central!

Seriously though, think he needs a re boot as I gave him breakfast and he went back to sleep!

MildWest · 07/02/2009 15:26

Help! Tried the wool wrap last night and there was defiite dampness this morning - it was a woollwraps which I've lanolised once. We put it over a Baby Beehinds with a loose long vest and babygro over the top. The vest, 'gro and sleeping bag were all quite damp this morning, and have just dried now so don't think it was just evaporation. Do I need to lanolise more before we can use it?!
