With DD dressing herself, it is like she is with everything (making etc) - you give her a pile of things, and rather than selecting a choice few to wear/make things with, she will keep putting more on until she has run out

Georgimama - the fact that there are so many mothers posting here, saying that their DD's would look fabulous even if dressed in a bin sack, says to me that those girls are being raised with great self esteem and acceptance of their looks! The antithesis an environment where anorexia is likely to take hold!

I think this is a great thread - lots of mother's all saying how lovely their daughters are! Positivity at its best

I do not do frills and curls, labels, spending lots of (or indeed much) money but I do coordinate quite hard for dd.

No Absolutely not. My DDs always look a mess, no matter how nice they start out in the day, by lunchtime they are a complete and utter mess. DD1 is a bit of a tomboy, and so gets grubby no matter what she is wearing... and I can't be bothered to co-ordinate changes of clothes. But then I don't wear makeup and I always look a mess myself, so I think I gave up any hope of this a long time ago!
