how much would u want for 1 of them lol are they pocket nappies

Essie3 · 22/09/2008 22:46

Ummm, I think they are pockets (I think; that's a shaped nappy in a wrap, right?)

Would you want just one nappy, or a nappy and a wrap?
How about £5 for a nappy? Wraps are in short supply, though, and as I have 23 nappies and only 5 wraps, I thought I'd do job lots with wraps. But I'll sell a few nappies.

babyjjbaby · 22/09/2008 22:49

i'd like to try a pocket nappy really lol where u stuff the middle of it

Oh, I've got it wrong then. I need to have someone clear up the terminology for me.
Anyone? Real nappies for dummies?

babyjjbaby · 22/09/2008 22:54

well there is
flat nappies terry sqaures prefolds with a wrap

2 part nappies like u got where u have a shaped nappy and then a wrap

pocket nappies where u stuff the middle of nappy u don't need a wrap as u sort of stuff the wrap

all in ones where u just put it on like a disposible

LackaDAISYcal · 22/09/2008 22:56

Essie...you need to subscribe to CAT (contact another talker) before you can sell on the classified section. It only costs £5 a year though.

I have released another two pop-ins onto my list . I was going to keep them, but I'm not that fussed as I have rather a lot of nappies

Essie3 · 22/09/2008 23:03

Ok, thanks Babyjjbaby, I have 2 parters, then, and the pop-ins are basically pockets.

Daisy you have a bidding war thing going on there. I was going to grab spare pop-ins just to bulk up my gigantic stash . I've said on the other thread - I'll take the custard but give others a chance after that! Hold off with posting and let me know later this week whether you have any left.
Hate the pistachio one, don't know why!

LackaDAISYcal · 22/09/2008 23:06

I like the pistachio colour...they are odd in that the colour of the wraps is diofferent to the inserts. the yellow outer is nice but the inserts are a bit yucky imo.

and to confuse you further; the pop-in is technically a snap in all-in-one, not a pocket

Essie3 · 22/09/2008 23:09

LOL, typical, I would have something different!

I think you've said that about the yellow ones somewhere else too. I love the yellow outers but have no opinion on the inserts because mine mostly have breastfed poo on them...
Duck egg is lovely too! I'm watching t'other thread closely! I'm happy to buy duck egg, pumpkin and my lovely custard.

LackaDAISYcal · 23/09/2008 10:03

essie, I have a custard one if you want it? I can also bung in the dri-night boosters (official name for them from modern baby website ) for a few quid more if you are interested? Say £16 posted?

email me

LackaDAISYcal · 23/09/2008 10:04

boosters are pistaschio and pumpkin coloured.

LackaDAISYcal · 23/09/2008 23:12

AnnVan, just checking to see how you are doing today. hope things are looking a bit brighter for you

sunflower78 · 23/09/2008 23:49

Hi everyone, finally have 5 mins! Maia is practically glued to my boobs, especially the last couple of days... she's finally fallen asleep a couple of hours ago in the vibrating bouncer and now just waiting to wake her for the next feed... it's been quite exhausting these last few days and feeling really guilty as can't give much attention to her big brother who's just stared school... luckily DP managed to get a few extra days and mum arrived to stay for a couple of weeks (not sure how I'll managed once they've gone!) - DS was soooooooo easy compared to her! But she's beautiful and putting lots of weight on (nearly 1/2 kg in 2 wks!), and finally we've been discharged by the MW as the jaundice has cleared, so no more tests!

But before I forget, congratulations lollipop and annvan!! hope you and babies are ok! annvan - had no baby blues with DS, but terrible this time, and guess v.v.v.v. painful down-there didn't help (couldn't feel any muscle there until a couple of days ago!) and broke down a few times... but it'll pass, hopefully when I've managed half night's sleep...

and finally using my XS sandy's a bit more regularly as the last bit of cord has gone today!

Anyway, sorry long post ...

Chellsmum · 24/09/2008 09:42

Congratulation to all the new mums and good luck to the mums-to-be.
AnnVan have a good cry, take a walk outside with baby, meet some friends, get some sleep and forget about housework. I had PN depression but I wouldn't tell anyone how I was feeling at the beginning and tried to put on a brave face, then when dd was 6 weeks old everything came on top of me and I just wish I had told someone how I was feeling at the beginning and not try to be a supermum. As i'm typing this I hope your feeling better already

I have a quick question for the nappy experts. My dd is now 15 months old and has just started walking a couple of months ago. She is in disposables during the day at CM and reusables at night, but she seems to be walking funny - like someone that has wet themseles IYKWIM. It didn't realy bother me until last night as I just thought its the way she walks with the reusables until my DH pointed out that her cousin who is one month younger and uses only disposable walks 'proper'. Can anyone please tell me i'm just being paranoid now and she will walk 'proper' later on.
Sorry for the long post x

LackaDAISYcal · 24/09/2008 10:08

Does she walk differently when wearing the disposables to the reuseables chellsmum?

If not and it's the same, it's probably just the way she walks and it'll all come good once she's been on her feet for a bit. My DD waddles like a duck (also 15 months and has been walking sonce mid July), regardless of what sort of nappy she is wearing. They all do things differently at this age, and I doubt the nappies are anything to do with it.

Chellsmum · 24/09/2008 10:25

Yes she walks the same even with no nappy on. Thanks for reassurance will tell my DH this - he can't understand why I use the cloth he will try and blame it for anything!!

LackaDAISYcal · 24/09/2008 10:44

lol, what are men like!

Have a quick word with your HV if you are worried, but I'm sure she'll be OK.

Chellsmum · 24/09/2008 11:07

Might leave it for a few weeks see how she gets on. Was not overly worried before but he just put it into my head - should've just ignored him like I normally do

wastingmyeducation · 24/09/2008 11:40

How does he think we all managed to learn walk? Disposables are a very new invention after all.

xx

Chellsmum · 24/09/2008 11:50

I know thats pretty much exactly what I said to him. It's just the way he is - he couldn't understand why I breastfed when there was forumla, real nappies when there is disposables etc. I think he thinks he's being helpful but i'm a stubborn kinda person and when I want to do somehing thats the way its done so the poor man barely has a say when it comes to things like that

Evening, well night all!

very stressful day, know that mum and DP mean well, but don't think they understand how tired and down I feel... never mind... cheered up when I finally tried the pop-in and I was very impressed! so slim fitting even on a small baby... probably will be ready to sell XS sandy's in the next couple of weeks and will definetly use money to get some more pop-ins!

BigBadMousey · 25/09/2008 13:21

babyjjbaby - I saw these and thought of you

AnnVan · 25/09/2008 13:28

Hey everyone. Well have had a very stressful few days. Sebastian has been a nightmare - either he has colic or he had a tummy ache and has been non-stop screaming. I've had him in cloth a few times though! DP isn't so sure about it cos the nappies look so big on him - but he is only a newborn.
After a night of almost constant screaming, he did three huge loud poos one after another and then calmed right down, so I'm guessing something had upset his stomach. The good news is, the nappy totally coped with the poo explosion - some got through onto the wrap, but no leakage onto clothes!! Am very impressed.

babyjjbaby · 25/09/2008 14:41

thanks mousey i have asked her if she has got a buy it now price i hope she has
