Sorry I know this question has probably already been asked 1000 times on here.

But I'd like to know what age were you, how long did it take, and did you have any health problems?

I know that the answers are different for everyone and it won't give me any insight as to what it will be like for me. But I'm just interested in knowing ☺️

3 weeks after I turned 22.

I had my second child two days after I turned 23.

Both were unplanned and I had an issue during labour with my first but that was due to a mistake made by an anaesthetist

  1. Took about 7 months all told to conceive. Have a high BMI and a pre-existing liver condition so was under consultant care during my pregnancy.
Clytherow · 29/11/2023 09:51

26 - got pregnant immediately, miscarried at 6 weeks, got pregnant again 2 weeks after miscarriage and he's now 7. I've had four miscarriages since. I get pregnant every single time we "try" but I can't seem to make the babies stick.

I was 25 when I had my first, 27 when I had my second and I'm now pregnant with my third (I'm 28 next month) the longest time it took me was 2 cycles I think, they were all conceived fairly quickly! Straightforward, low risk pregnancies. They were all planned.

HeliumChestedTrollop · 29/11/2023 09:55

miscarriage at 18

19

then

22

25 (happy accident from a one time event with no condom)

Matildahoney · 29/11/2023 09:56

I'll be 41, took 6 months, then I had a miscarriage, then another 6 months to fall again and I'm on the home straight!
No complications, few more scans/tests etc due to my age, but as yet no problems.

Wintericemoon · 29/11/2023 09:57

I was 40! I conceived at 39 on the first attempt and had a baby boy three months after I turned 40. Then I went on to have a baby girl two months before my 43rd birthday - it took a bit longer to conceive her but not long, only about three months. I am very lucky Smile

  1. Unplanned. Got pregnant after one time.
PurpleChrayne · 29/11/2023 09:59

I conceived at 38 and DD was born when I was 39. Absolutely smooth sailing, thank G-d. Took about 6 months to conceive.

TwinkleStarrr · 29/11/2023 10:00

I had my first at 36 years old, I am 38 now and ttc for a second baby God willing.

Ostryga · 29/11/2023 10:00

28
Planning on ttc next year at 35.

App13 · 29/11/2023 10:01

42

Topseyt123 · 29/11/2023 10:02

I was 28 when DD1 was born. I'd had a miscarriage the previous year. Each time it took me just a couple of months to become pregnant.

It was a long and quite traumatic labour, but all was well in the end.

Mrsmch123 · 29/11/2023 10:03

32 after "trying for around 4 years". Ended up needing ivf.

Hubblebubble · 29/11/2023 10:07
  1. From one incident of the condom splitting. Complication free pregnancy. A trapped nerve and second degree tear during labour.
JL690 · 29/11/2023 10:07

25 and I was 24 when the little one was conceived, we'd been trying for a month. No health issues but a little morning sickness.

lingod · 29/11/2023 12:41

Aged 19. Easy pregnancy, no sickness, working on my feet until day before labour. Easy labour, no tearing and back in my feet the day after.

CoalCraft · 29/11/2023 12:44

26 and healthy. Conceived within six weeks of coming off the pill. Delivered prematurely due to irritable uterus.

Just for the record, I had my second at 28, conceived within two weeks of coming off the pill, and delivered at term after much milder irritable uterus symptoms.

2 very fast labours with superficial tearing. Felt completely recovered straightaway after the first, took a day or two with the second.

Leo227 · 29/11/2023 12:44

37, with 2nd attempt at IVF transfer (with embryo made when I was 32)

Lemmuffin · 29/11/2023 12:45

Pregnant at 30, first month trying. Delivered at 31, a perfect home birth.

Nannyfannybanny · 29/11/2023 12:48

19, severe sickness (this was 1970, no one was interested) all day for months. Left lateral breech, big baby, small me! Booked CS, went into labour, emergency CS. Awful

Amberlady · 29/11/2023 12:49

Two weeks after 32nd birthday, and after three miscarriages. Second two weeks after 38th birthday, born eleven weeks early due to placenta praevia, and another miscarriage inbetween.

Nannyfannybanny · 29/11/2023 12:50

Hospital was horrible as were the staff. PS, awful hallucinations while awake, thought the baby was trying to kill me.

Mothersruin123 · 29/11/2023 12:50

39, first month of trying.

Beetlewings · 29/11/2023 12:53

18, last one at 42
