Hi, I've had M.E for the last 8 years and have good bits and bad bits with it.
I am resitting a module that I didn't manage to complete last year due to ill health and I'm nearly through it this year but my symptoms have kicked off again.

My ds is 4 and a gem.

i just wondered if there was anyone in a similar position..

Ok. Have a nice rest. Have you tried vitamin b12 injections?

Coro · 23/04/2008 15:47

I haven't tried b12 injections.. what do they do? where can I get them from?

I waited for my friends plumber but couldn't get online to sort it. I did some sewing though and rested. I went for a swim this afternoon, not for long but it helped me calm down a bit and I feel a little less achy now. I'm going to try and go tomorrow as well, now the weather is better.

My friend seemed to really appreciate me being around, it's nice to know I can be of some use while I cant be out kicking ass!

How are you today?

avenanap · 23/04/2008 18:38

I'm very well. I've done a bit of work, it's been a bit quiet. Your GP can give you the injections, they use them in the US to make people a bit more alert I think. We can but try. The swimming's a good idea. Start light and build it up. There's no hurry.

I've finally got the courage together to go back to the doctors. I rang the hospital this morning and I've been referred to the physio dept not chronic fatigue apparently.

There is no way I'll survive physio at the moment!

It's really getting me down and I'm struggling to sort out all the paperwork for my new house. I keep having panic attacks.

I've got to speak to uni and get them to confirm I am a fulltime student which technically I am, though I haven't been in much this year...

avenanap · 07/05/2008 17:45

Are you not feeling good at the moment?
I went to see mine last week, he says it's Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome and that exercise is the best thing , that's probably why you've been referred for physio. Start off slow and see how it goes. Try not to let it get you down, it's easy to get depressed when all you do is sleep.

How's the little one?

Coro · 08/05/2008 11:25

I went to the docs today.
He's happy that I have ME but is concerned about the panic attacks I keep having.

The physio is purely to try and stop the deterioration of my joints.

He's referred me for ME support, they have no way of fixing it but at least having more people around who understand might help.

He's stuck me on anti depressants in the hope it'll help the panic attacks and my concentration. Fingers crossed.

Ds is fine, back at nursery after a great weekend. We were camping in dorset as part of a historical renactment group. We had a great weekend together Things are not all doom and gloom, I just dont have the mental capacity to cope with it all.. lol

Watch how you go with the exercise, it could very easily make things worse. Sunshine is important.

avenanap · 08/05/2008 16:14

Just a quick message, it's almost tea time.

The camping sounds like great fun, I bet you had a fantastic time . I hope the pills work for you. It's worth a shot! Swimming's good for joints, are you still going?

Coro · 09/05/2008 09:31

Camping was fab, it's great. We were at a castle. I only have to pay for membership once a year and then its all free, well except for kit and food.

The swimming didn't go very well. I was in bed for 2 days afterwards! :-s

I think its just bedrest for me for a while.

I found out why I've been feeling so bad, I think I've finally managed to get thebug going round! Its kinda reassuring knowing there is something behind it this time.
Enjoy the sunshine
