Tonight my 16 year old ds has been declared medically unfit for the Army. It is all he wants to do and if his appeal fails he will be devastated. He has been studying hard for his gcses and spending all his spare time reading about and training for the Army. I feel sick for him and I need advice of what to say to help him through this.

This happened to my SS, aged 16, he was also very upset. 6 years later he is studying engineering. It took a couple of years for him to shake off the disappointment but he is happy and doing well now.

@Yellowfinsole thank you for taking the time to find that information. I will Google it and have a look.

Plenty of people now work alongside the army and other military eg look at careers at BAE my DD's friend is actually working on warships at twice the pay of the military, added bonus, he only stays onboard in friendly waters
