When did your baby start to crawl?

Mine still only pushes herself backwards 😁 but that's okay I'll just wait and baby proof the house in the mean time and enjoy that she will stay roughly where I put her

Mine never crawled. He started getting around by rolling and then by pulling himself up on anything he could find. He started walking at 9 months and was running shortly thereafter.

Just before 6 months, all 3 of them.

LBFseBrom · 08/12/2022 19:55

6.5 months exactly.

Don't worry about it, they all crawl and walk at different ages. Some babies never crawl, I didn't and I grew up quite normal :).

Mine is 18 months crawls forwards and backwards like lightening- but he absolutely refuses to walk! Think he will talk before he walks! But he will eventually, all babies are different.

Moving (we called it caterpillaring) at 4.5, crawling at 5.5 months. We got kicked out of the baby group, because it was for none movers. Most others were there another 4-6 months.
Crawling isn't a milestone - incomes at such different times for all, and some never crawl.

Yep there’s a woman round here trying to set up a baby group and I asked if I could come with my 8 month old (pretty standard age for crawling) - ‘yes, that one is for non-movers’… I said ‘oh well she’s definitely on the move and we can’t make your other time as it’s prime 8-month-old naptime’… she suddenly said she didn’t mean it about the non-moving and can we still come 😅

I dreaded mine would take after me - crawled at 6 months walking at 9months.
Nope both in no rush - first 13 months crawling walking 18months, 2nd crawled 10/11 months walked 15 months.

Crawling at 8 months. Walking at 15 months. Running pretty much days later and now never stops! Enjoy her immobility while you can! 🙈

Enjoy her immobility while you can!

Mine learnt how to climb out of her cot before she could walk.

Thankfully for some reason she didn't try and climb out of her play pen until after she could walk.

AudreyJL · 10/12/2022 10:38

Crawling at 8.5 months and walking at 14 months

Waiteflower · 10/12/2022 10:38

13 months

Simonjt · 10/12/2022 10:42

Still doesn’t and she recently turned one, its great as she doesn’t vanish when you turn your back!

Whatifthegrassisblue · 10/12/2022 10:44

About 5 months, it was a nightmare. I remember going to buy a play pen that weekend after I was exhausted from having to 'rescue' the baby all day. Enjoy the not crawling while you can!
