When did your baby start to crawl?

Mine still only pushes herself backwards 😁 but that's okay I'll just wait and baby proof the house in the mean time and enjoy that she will stay roughly where I put her

DD didn't crawl until 10/11 months. She didn't even bother rolling until she could crawl. 12 months she started walking and now at 17 months pretty much runs/walks everywhere

FleasNavidad · 08/12/2022 11:15

First one around 10 months, second one was almost 2 before he moved anywhere!

ShillyShallySherbet · 08/12/2022 11:15

At about 11 months and then a week later she pulled herself up to standing for the first time. She was walking by the time she was 1. I was getting worried then it all happened at once!

5 months, the absolute dickhead. She’d only just emerged from the colic era too. Think I had a week of sitting around enjoying having a baby.

Haha this could have been my daughter! I blame the colic! She was crawling at about 4/5 months

MassiveSalad22 · 08/12/2022 14:11

Can’t remember with the older 2 but baby 3 has just turned 8 months old and is cruising 🙃🙃 she has been crawling since about 7 months I’d say. Yes I’m quite proud as she has hip dysplasia and although they say the pavlik harness doesn’t affect their development, it’s hard to believe while they’re in it. I definitely have walkers not talkers. My boys walked at 11 months and 10 months.

70sShmeventies · 08/12/2022 16:34

Army crawling at 4 months and crawling properly at 6 months, unfortunately for me! He is 14 months now and trying to walk but not there yet.

My first was crawling at 9 months and walking at 14 months.

gogohmm · 08/12/2022 16:46

One crawled at 8 months walked at 10 months the other skipped crawling altogether and walked at 9 months. Both every late talkers though

allfurcoatnoknickers · 08/12/2022 16:48

At 9 months, right before we went into Covid lockdown. That was fun.

ChristmasCakeAndStilton · 08/12/2022 17:29

Moving (we called it caterpillaring) at 4.5, crawling at 5.5 months. We got kicked out of the baby group, because it was for none movers. Most others were there another 4-6 months.
Crawling isn't a milestone - incomes at such different times for all, and some never crawl.

Stag82 · 08/12/2022 17:38

both of mine by 6 months. one walked by 10 month and 10 days - very joyous as zero spacial awareness so would run into everything!

OceanbreezeSun · 08/12/2022 17:46

Crawling properly at about 7 months, then she started doing these funny press up type things, pulling herself up, not long after. Walking by 11 months.

midnight90 · 08/12/2022 17:58

Mine is 7 months and has just started to sit unaided still wobbles sometimes but other then that nothing

AntsGoMarchingOneByOne · 08/12/2022 18:53

Mine crawled at 10 months, walked at 18 months.

I didn't have that stage at all. It was actually a relief when he learnt to crawl as I could put him down and walk away without him screaming.

Yes! Crawling was a relief for me, it turned my constantly frustrated and screaming baby into a happy and content one.

8 months here.

7.5 months. Please don’t worry, there’s an absolutely enormous age range for this milestone and not all of them even do it. My nephew went straight from swimming on his belly on the floor to walking at 10 months.

qpmz · 08/12/2022 19:09

14 months! Walking nearly 19 months.

WalkingOnSonshine · 07/12/2022 20:40

5 months crawling, 9 months walking.

We barely had any of that lovely stage where they are content to be put down while you make a cuppa, & are still in the same place when you come back!

Exactly the same here (although the walking was at 8 months).

Never really was a proper baby and never content

was very hard.

hollyjolls · 08/12/2022 19:17

10.5 months. He is 14 months now and not walking yet, only just starting to push things along while on his feet.

Waxxy · 08/12/2022 19:18

Crawled at 5 months and walked on his first birthday! I didn't crawl until I was 12 months and didn't walk until I was two.

Reugny · 08/12/2022 19:18

DD crawled at 9 months but couldn't be bothered to walk until 15 months. Then learnt to run within a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately she said her first word at 5 months.....

Climbles · 08/12/2022 19:21

Both about 11 months. One is probably dyspraxic and the others a competitive trampolinist. So crawling age predicts very little about future physicality.

Hugasauras · 08/12/2022 19:38

About 9/10 months with DD1. DD2 is about to turn 6 months and pretty much crawling now 😬

CoteDivoire · 08/12/2022 19:41

DD about 7-8 months. DS never crawled- bum shuffled at about 10 months and walked around 15 months

Mylittlesandwich · 08/12/2022 19:47

DS crawled at 13 months and walked at 17 months. I suspect he just couldn't be bothered 🤣
