I'm starting A200 which is History from 1400 - 1900. I know that Rosa did this one last year so I'm hoping to be seeing lots of her this year

What's everyone else doing?

hello! I'm doing w300 again. I last studied in 2006, but didn't finish it due to difficult circumstances, so hoping I will get there this time.

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 10/01/2008 10:05

btw w300 is law.

nimnom · 10/01/2008 10:18

I'm doing m336 and M338, both maths courses and unlike other years I've actually started early to try and get ahead of myself. The first couple of days were really tough but I had a breakthrough yesterday and I feel back in the swing of things now.
Good luck everyone

I'm planning to start on monday, and hopefully get ahead so that I haven't got to work evenings once the kids are off school. I hate being stuck in studying when the weather is hot!

lilibet · 10/01/2008 15:45

Every year I plan to get ahead

Chopster - thansk for your advice on my veggie wellington

I am starting ad317 religion today:tradition, modernity and change and am half way through aa316 the nineteenth century novel.

agnesnitt · 10/01/2008 23:20

I'll be starting A177 and A217 in February

ppd, I'll be doing that module too, hopefully next year. Let me know how you get on with it, it sounds fascinating

Agnes

lilibet · 11/01/2008 08:27

Agnes - I did A217 last year, feel free to ask questions!

OP posts:
yetanothername · 11/01/2008 09:37

Oh, I'm doing A217 as well

However, I already seem to have misplaced my Very Short Intro to Islam... sigh... I don't know how this is possible! I fear it doesn't bode well!

agnesnitt · 11/01/2008 13:24

I won three books on ebay, am looking at another:D

Agnes

lilibet · 11/01/2008 13:42

YAN, I'll send you mine if you like, but it will have bits highlighted and it's written in

OP posts:
agnesnitt · 11/01/2008 14:16

If you're looking to sell any of them, I'll buy Buddhism, Christianity and Islam (should YAN not want it of course!) from you. I have Judaism, Hinduism and Sikhism on the way from eBay, but am always on the lookout for avoiding paying WHSmith prices

Agnes

agnesnitt · 11/01/2008 14:18

YAN, have you got any course info through? I got my course offer (on the day it expired, loving the postal service in Agnes HQ right now) but am awaiting further information.

agness: I got the books and calendar, assessment stuff before Christmas. Hmmm... don't know if there was tutorial stuff in there. First TMA is due on 13th of Feb because it's based on the introduction.

lilibet: that's very kind of you . I will have a determined search tonight though, it really should be here. Wouldn't want to say yes when agnes is also in need. I do fear I left it in the US and as we've just had a huge falling out with the dh's parents I wouldn't hold much hope of getting it back anytime soon. But I need to check around!

TellusMater · 11/01/2008 17:05

I'm doing DD307 Social Psycholgy. My last psych course, which is a bit really...

bekah · 11/01/2008 17:42

Im starting w100 law in feb, anyone else?

agnesnitt · 11/01/2008 19:48

YAN, has your course already started then, as mine isn't due to start until February itself, and if they launch an assignment at me to be in so soon I may have to wet kipper them all!

Agnes

yetanothername · 12/01/2008 00:05

I found my Very Short Intro to Islam, yay! Under the sofa (?!?)

agnes: No mine hasn't already started, it starts on the 2nd Feb, and yes the first TMA is so soon! It is based on the introduction to the course!

MarsLady · 12/01/2008 00:27

I'm currently doing A215 (Creatvie Writing) and about to start LX120 the second level French. That starts in Feb!

RosaLuxOnTheBrightSideOfLife · 12/01/2008 00:43

I'm doing AA309, A297 and A433. I have started already, I need to stay two weeks ahead or I will be in meltdown in August.
Happy to give you any pointers you need for A200 Lilibet. It's a really great course, as you realise after it's over, but when you are stuck in the middle of it, it can be quite daunting.

bossybritches · 12/01/2008 00:45

OH just realised this is ME!!

Starting an OU course in Early Years Development -E 123 I think (?) god the number of times I wrote it on the form you'd think I'd remember.......... does not bode well for studies

Part terrified part excited to be using the old grey matter again!

Anyone know if you still get funding towards a lap-top? Would be useful.

agnesnitt · 12/01/2008 10:33

YAN...

!!!!

Oh my word, I seriously need them to send me my materials then! Thanks for the heads up.

Agnes

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 13/01/2008 17:06

I'm doing KE308 (Youth: Perspective & Pratice for 4th year olf Childhod & Youth Studies degree), official start date 2nd Feb.

Anyone else doing that?

Have you all got your materials already for your Feb start dates?

I noticed on my student home page it the approx materials despatch date is 26th Jan and please allow 10 days for them to arrive! So they expect us to ok about being behind before we begin??!

ETsmum · 14/01/2008 10:03

Me Starting KE312 (Working together for Children) on supposedly 26th Jan, but materials not due to be sent til 19th!

Shiny I did KE308 last year and found it really good - books did arrive on time but only just as far as I remember. Have you got the course reader sorted (I could help otherwise?)

Currently doing K260 (Death and Dying)....meant to be writing a TMA right now.....

Chilimama · 14/01/2008 18:10

I'm starting U213 (International development: challenges for a world in transition) on the 2nd Feb

Got my materials before Christmas (Two separate deliveries), hope you aren't waiting too much longer as that's cutting it a bit fine, esp if you wanted to start earlier and get ahead - something I plan to do with each course but never quite manage
