Just curious to see what the norm is, my 11wo daughter is sleeping longer stretches now so I’m wondering if it might be coming back soon…

With DS came back at 8 months but he had started sleeping through about 6 weeks prior. With DD came back at 4 months and I felt so cheated as she was feeding almost hourly at night!

SickAndTiredAgain · 19/12/2021 21:05

11 months

Santahatesbraisedcabbage · 19/12/2021 21:07

4 weeks pp every friggin time.. And bf every time.

MissBPotter · 19/12/2021 21:07

12 months and 14 months.
Now feeding dd3 who is also doing longer stretches (first two weren’t good sleepers), so wondering if it might appear earlier. Hope not though, I see its absence as a benefit of breastfeeding!

Shmithecat2 · 19/12/2021 21:08

At about 6 months, when we started weaning onto solid foods - not that we stopped breastfeeding. I bfd ds for nearly 4 years, so was a bit disappointed my periods didn't stay away for longer!

Lemonnhoney · 19/12/2021 21:08

12 months (came on DS first birthday!) And 14 months

MissBPotter · 19/12/2021 21:08

@Santahatesbraisedcabbage oh no! That’s bad luck! I’m obviously quite lucky then.

IgneousRock · 19/12/2021 21:08

Between 7 months and 9 months for my three DC.

jclm · 19/12/2021 21:09

6 weeks but I was exclusively pumping rather than breastfeeding

DeedIDo · 19/12/2021 21:10

@Santahatesbraisedcabbage , me too. Both times!

Sexnotgender · 19/12/2021 21:10

5 months.

DramaAlpaca · 19/12/2021 21:10

Four months each time, despite breastfeeding.

Shmithecat2 · 19/12/2021 21:10

And he still doesn't sleep through (at 6yo), and I didn't stop night feeds until approx 18mo, so doesn't relate to that either.Confused

MONSTERSALAD · 19/12/2021 21:10

8 weeks. EBF. I was NOT amused.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 19/12/2021 21:11

Not until I fully stopped feeding both mine

hemhem · 19/12/2021 21:11

Took more than 2 years for me with both DC. Didn't miss it!

RandomMess · 19/12/2021 21:11

First one when I stopped feeding around 20 weeks. Subsequent DC they can straight back 😭😭😭

Sweetpeasaremadeofcheese · 19/12/2021 21:12

2 years

NC6789012 · 19/12/2021 21:15

Same as @Santahatesbraisedcabbage EBF both DDs to 2+ years. Every 29 days from birth?!!!

Alexahelp · 19/12/2021 21:20

11 months, a month or two before that she’d started doing 7-8 hour stretches at night and I think that kickstarted them. Perfect timing really as I wanted to start trying again at a year but periods are a PITA!

WildCherryBlossom · 19/12/2021 21:23

About a month after my last feed. With each baby I was down to one feed a day in the end but my cycle didn't start until the feeding completely stopped.

StylishMummy · 19/12/2021 21:23

8 months for me, 1 period and BAM. Pregnant again Blush
