Just curious to see what the norm is, my 11wo daughter is sleeping longer stretches now so I’m wondering if it might be coming back soon…

Sorry - forgot to say I fed all of them until around their first birthday give or take a week of two either way.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 19/12/2021 21:25

Not before I was pregnant again... which was 10 months pp

DinosaurOfFire · 19/12/2021 21:26

1st, at around 1.5 years when we dropped to just morning and night feeds. 2nd, when I stopped feeding, so around 15 months, and with no. 3 at 21 months when feeding was just morning and nights again.

I’m still breastfeeding my 15mo and still no sign of a period. He feeds about 3 times during the day —and 100 times over night—. Not sure what to do really because we desperately want to start trying for another one but I don’t even know how I would even begin to stop breastfeeding. Any suggestions welcome!

10 months for me

RedCandyApple · 19/12/2021 21:36

5 weeks with each of My FOUR children! Despite ebf no formula not one drop, co slept with all, no dummy,
Still 5 weeks every single time! Felt cheated

Justbecause88 · 19/12/2021 21:39

First period 3 months pp and fell pregnant again a few weeks later. That was unfortunately a MC but periods came back straight after that too despite BF till 10months. I was totally EBF when I had my first period, no formula at all.

Totorosfluffytummy · 19/12/2021 21:40

12-13 months for all 3 DC

AnneLovesGilbert · 19/12/2021 21:43

4 months

SpikeDearheart · 19/12/2021 21:44

15 months I think. He was still breastfeeding plenty at that point!

OhForGoodnessSake1 · 19/12/2021 21:44

9-10 months with my two. Had endometriosis so very envious of those whose periods took longer to return!

LikeTheFruit · 19/12/2021 21:48

So it hadn't come back by 17 months pp then I found out I was pregnant! So I haven't had a period since may 2019 and am 23 weeks with number 2!

jazzyseph · 19/12/2021 21:50

18 months

MindyStClaire · 19/12/2021 21:51

DD1 stopped suddenly mid feed at 9 months and never went back. I pumped a little until my supply went and then my period came back a month later.

DD2 is still feeding at 18 months. This time my period came back when she was well established on solids and sleeping well - I think possible around a year.

Cruel. Cruel.

I was pregnant again when dc1 was 9 months … I’d had one period

SquigglePigs · 19/12/2021 21:53

A little over 12 months. At that stage she was still feeding at least once a night, sometimes twice plus on demand during the day (she started nursery about a month after this and obviously had less in the day then).

Tryingandhoping2020 · 19/12/2021 21:54

Wow so much variety! Fingers crossed it stays away a while Grin

Seven weeks. It didn't bother me though, I like the release and my body slowing me down for a week. Now she's two and a half, I started getting cramps again with it.

HowBad · 19/12/2021 21:55

16 months

autumnboys · 19/12/2021 21:55

8 months with DS1, who slept quite well from about six weeks. 11 months with DS2 who didn’t sleep brilliantly. 11 months with DS3 who didn’t sleep through until he was 2yo.

miltonj · 19/12/2021 22:08

8 months. Had decreased breastfeeding at that point but she increased again but periods remained. Pregnant again now, at 15months, and toddler showing no signs of wanting to stop breastfeeding.

Megan2018 · 19/12/2021 22:10

4 months, despite EBF and constantly feeding!

BillyBarryBoo · 19/12/2021 22:15

At 2 years exactly

CherryRedDMs · 19/12/2021 22:16

10 months both, carried on feeding for some time
