Breastfeeding mums, when did your period come back?

Just curious to see what the norm is, my 11wo daughter is sleeping longer stretches now so I’m wondering if it might be coming back soon…

22 months. Was irrationally grumpy they didn't stay away for longer 🤣

21 months.i was 40 when I gave birth though.

16 months and still nothing... I want it to come back 😭 hoping for another baby soon

5 months. She was still feeding loads and not even close to sleeping through the night.

11 months for the first two (which is about when I stopped BF), then I got Mirena and never had another period.

About 10 months

Mine return a week after PP bleeding stops so usually at bang on 5 weeks. Even EBF twins.

Each time my midwife/GP suspects an infection because they don’t believe it’s a period but sure enough 28 days later I have another and then it’s back to normal from there.
Most annoying part is that I definitely have a dip in supply for a week before the period so there’s lots of cluster feeding. It’s hard work!

After my second child was born an I decided to FF 😂

Around 6 weeks…I was gutted!! Thought I’d have a longer break from it!

She was an absolute boob monster, she fed like a young baby for YEARS.

Exactly the same here, always wondered if it was just bad luck or the fact that I pumped because she didn't latch well.

My dd is 18 months old and still breastfeeding.....no sign of period returning yet.

Glad you started this thread thought something might be wrong with me for going so long without a period!

4 months EBF twins!! Then similar with subsequent babies- between 4-6 months I think

Three months despite breastfeeding. Wasn't impressed at all. And no, the weight didn't miraculously drop off through breast feeding either .

Around about 9 months

At 16 months mine had not returned so I stopped breastfeeding (found this very hard) so that I could try to start conceiving again ( had my first at 40 so did not want to piss about too long).

Can't remember when they returned with my second - maybe about two years?

I had two friends who ebf and whose period returned within 6 weeks.

9 months with my first. 13 months & counting with no2. I haven't had a period since before Covid (pregnancy and breastfeeding)!!

Omg I know right!! I feel like this could be a whole other thread lol but I STILL am no way near fitting into my old jeans (or dresses, tops...) or my wedding ring. The funny thing is I have (very) slowly lost most of my pregnancy weight but I still have fat fingers and a couple of dress sizes bigger than I used to be. Bah! I guess muscle turned into fat hehe

How soon after completely stopping did they return if you don’t mind me asking ? X

10 mos, kind of, very light. She's still nursing all night but does eat 3 meals a day

8 or 9 months

Still not back at 8 months. Baby sleeps 11 hours without feeding but still BF a lot in the day.
