Long term consequences of a baby not eating

I can’t get ds (8 months) to wean. I have arranged for the HV to see him but I’m not hugely confident she’ll be able to tell me anything I don’t already know.

What are the consequences if this continues?

Cheese on toast - this is what he had been waiting for!! Smile

That's great!! Great job! I was going to say maybe just stop trying to give him "textured" foods for now and offer pouches/purees a couple times a day while he's in your lap, but maybe you've hit on something he likes!

Also I wanted to add, I know 4 months seems close but for a baby so much can change in a matter of days, if your GP isn't concerned I thi k you can give it a little more time before pursuing further action. Good luck!

@lavenderandwisteria

He really did. He’s actually eating a bit of cheese on toast. I mean most of it’s on the floor but … I’m trying not to cry in sheer relief!
Great news! Hopefully the start of something positive:

Hi @lavenderandwisteria just wondered how you’re getting on nearly 2 months later? I’m in a very similar situation now with my 8 month old DS and looking for reassurance! Have read through this whole thread and found it really helpful with lots of good advice.

I hope you’re doing ok - I totally get why you felt so anxious!
