how old were you when you had children?

I'm turning 31 this year, newly single and childless. My ex and I were engaged and planning on trying for a baby this year but we called things off after admitting we were no longer in love. I would love to be a mum but I'm worried as time is ticking and all but 1 of my gfs have at least one LO. What's your story?

43 and 46

30 & 35

Married at 30
DD at 31
DS at 33

Split up with ex at 33. After a while I got a bit worried so went on a mission to find a mate! Met him a few months later and had DD1 at 34 and DD2 at 36.

You've loads of time - met DH age 35, married 36, DS at 40 (naturally conceived).

Got together with DH when I was 31, married at 34. Had babies at 35, 36 and 39. I'm now 41. It's been a pretty busy decade!!

Met at uni when we were around 21
Married at 28
DS at 30
DD1 at 32
DD2 + 3 at 33

I have three DC, born when I was 29, 30 and 33.

Met when I was 20, had first dd when I was 21!
Second came along when I was 25 and then third has just happened now I’m 32. I’ve been birthing for a decade

My best friend has just had hers at 40, she’s like a spring chicken though!

Met when I was 34 and had DS at 35

I was in my late twenties but quickly noticed I was easily the youngest at baby groups. Most new mums were mid-30s to early 40s. I think it's far more usual these days to have children "later"

Didn't meet DH until over a year later

25 & 26 in the 1980’s at 26 I was told I was a geriatric mum!! Just makes me laugh now geriatric at 26 !!

37, 38 and 41

25, was the youngest in all my baby groups though- most were mid 30s.

Married at 18, first child at 20, second child at 24, 3rd child at 27, 4th child at 30, 5th child by 33. Am 33 now. 5th child is 4 months old.

Planning to have number 6 before am 35 and we are done. Hooray

24, just the one, a lady I know was 14, and 42!

32 , 33 and 36

Met husband at 31, married and had child at 38 ( not sure wtf we were doing for 7 years - just taking things slow I guess). Now at 42 considering whether to have another lo or not.

You've still got plenty of time.

Met my husband when I was 19, got married when I was 26 and pregnant with my first at 29 (30 next month) we were very lucky and I got pregnant straight away. We weren't ready for kids before this point. Husband is 5 years older

Had our children at 21, 26, 27, 30 (twins) & almost 31wk now at 37.

Had my son at 29. Only one other of my close friends has had children, she had her first at 27. All my other friends are in their 30s and childless!

38 and 40. Husband 2 years younger.
