how old were you when you had children?

I'm turning 31 this year, newly single and childless. My ex and I were engaged and planning on trying for a baby this year but we called things off after admitting we were no longer in love. I would love to be a mum but I'm worried as time is ticking and all but 1 of my gfs have at least one LO. What's your story?

34 and 37. I reckon 42 ish is the latest so I wouldn't panic. There is an element of risk that you won't conceive but that's a risk at any age, it just increases a bit as time goes on.

I think women should factor menopause into late baby plans a bit more, I'm hoping mine doesn't coincide with DC teenage

Met DP at 27, had a baby at 31. 'Baby' is 17 now .

42 - been married ten years and never wanted a child before then ... tbh my DH was much keener on having a baby than I was ... if it hadn't happened I would not have minded.

I had first at 27 and then 32 and 35. However, I found myself single at 40, met DP at 41, and now having a 4th baby at 42.

I had been with my exDH for 10 years but we tried for a baby but didn't get pregnant. He dumped me when I was 36. Though I'd never have a baby but met my now DH at 37. Got pregnant very easily, first DC at 39, married at 40 then second DC at 41.

Split up with my long term ex when I was 30. Met current DP when I was 35. We’ve got a 4 month old and I’m 38 :) Youve plenty of time, don’t despair

30 and 32 after 10 years with DH.
Almost twenty years on that was still absolutely perfect timing for us.

Met at 22, got together at 28, married at 30 and baby at 38

25 for my first, 27 with my second and we've just had our third baby now, a month ago when I turned 29 the day after he was born. Me OH been together since I was 17.

First baby at 32, second at 41 (different Dads). At just turning 31 you have plenty of time I'd say.

Met at 18, married at 31 (got to be sure) babies at 34, 37 and 40.

We met when I was 18, had eldest at 21, married at 22, 2nd child 25, 3rd 4 weeks ago at 29. We may have one more but in around 5-6 years now so i will be alot older. You have alot of time yet to meet someone and have babies xx

Had my first at 32 and I’m pregnant with my 2nd now at 37. Honestly felt like I was in better shape for it with the 2nd.

31 and 33. Now 34 and most of my friends are having their first. In our NCT group everyone else was 35+.

Met DH at uni.
Had DC1 at 27, DC2 at 32, DC3 at 36.

30 and 34. It depends on the area, but I felt young when I had my eldest. More average when I had my second but still on the younger side.

1st was 2 weeks after my 18th, 2nd at 21 and 3rd at 26

My best friend thought I was mad as she wanted a career first
She met her husband at 39 and 4 years later they have 3 DC
