how old were you when you had children?

I'm turning 31 this year, newly single and childless. My ex and I were engaged and planning on trying for a baby this year but we called things off after admitting we were no longer in love. I would love to be a mum but I'm worried as time is ticking and all but 1 of my gfs have at least one LO. What's your story?

Met XH at 21, pregnant at 21, married at 22, baby at 22, separated at 22. Now a lone parent to a 15 year old, no other children.

28, 32 and 36.

22 and 39

I had DD at 31 but I’m now 32 and the only one of my friends to have a baby, they all think I’m mad for not packing in a few more years of freedom! (Conversely I’m planning on being smug with relatively independent kids while they’re still doing night wakings are 40 but it just goes to show - there is no normal! You’ve got loads of time x)

I was almost 19 with DS1, 20 with DS2

39 & 40 gave birth.

38 and 41

We had DD young- 22.
Married at 24, and had our sons when I was 26 & 27. DS2 was born 10 days before my 28th birthday.

33 and 38, my two friends from school would there have been 34 and 36 when they both had their two. Our other friend was 39. Uni mates were 33, 34, 34, 31 and 26. Other friends were 35, 33, 29, 40. School Mom's vary from 40 down to 19 and I'm I've of the older mom's for our 6 year olds, and I'll Def be likely the oldest when DT go to school but that's Indicative of the area I am

Met DH at 25, married at 31, 1st DC at 32, 2nd at 34.
I have a close friend who was in a similar position to you a few years ago and was concerned that time was running out, she’s since met her DP a couple of years ago (at 37) and is now pregnant and will be 39 when her DC is born. It can be harder to get pregnant after 35, but plenty of people do so don’t assume it won’t happen for you, there’s still time

24, 28, 29 and 34. None of my friends had children before their 30s.

Met at 31. Babies at 35 and 37 and 44!!
So many of my friends had their first between 35 and 40.

I was 28 but my friends were all in their 30s when they started having kids.

15, 23, 27, 29. not planning on any more, but never say never!

DD conceived at 40 (DH 45), born at 41.
Met DH at 35, married at 36. You have years and years left.

29,35 and 40

26 and 28 for me. We’re done and DH has had a vasectomy (aged 32). Plenty of my friends have no children yet though. I’m a bit of an anomaly amongst them!

Met my husband Aged 23, moved in together aged 25, engaged that same year, bought our house at 26, married at 27, gave birth at 28, pregnant again at 29 and had ds2 at 30!

34 now and back to work full time from sept so I can get my career back on track and be in a senior position before 40!

I'll never say never but I'm done with babies I think!

I met my partner aged 36 and had a baby aged 39

I became single at 32 after a shit relationship and was starting to think it would never happen for me. Met my DP very shortly after. I’m now 34 and pregnant and sometimes have moments of feeling like I’m not grown up enough for this!
