I've got it on its folded down version because DS is only diddy, but it all wicks from the lining bit round the front... Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way to stop it folding forward a bit and wicking?

If not, I might have a nappy to sell you :(

The coloured 15 pack is £8.50 more than the white BTW and I think the coloured individuals are 75p more.

MrsDoolittle · 22/05/2006 20:15

It's six and half a dozen really. They both say £15. I don't think I am going to get coloured this time.

How did the poo come of your nappy Soupdragon? Ds exploded into his this afternoon, containment is excellent.

MrsDoolittle · 22/05/2006 20:16

I don't need 15. We could split it if you want?

I guess if you are starting out you need all 15 though.

Actually, I've just worked it out. It's not worth the hassle for the nominal saving. Durrr!

SoupDragon · 22/05/2006 20:20

It's a little stained (but is in the wash again as we speak!)

Yes, I probably would need the 15 though as I'd only be using them rather than an assortment. I assume that 15 is what they recommend as a "full time" amount. Think I'm sticking to white too :)

MrsDoolittle · 22/05/2006 20:23

I have often put some soda crystals in a wash to shift the awkward stains. Soda crystals are as cheap as chips and work really well.

SoupDragon · 22/05/2006 20:25

At the moment, I keep having to scavenge round the house for enought pale items to justify washing the nappy!!

expatinscotland · 22/05/2006 20:26

Thanks, Mrs. D, for the tip. Put some in w/DD1s clothes, too, b/c she's sensitive to any type of bleach, OxyClean, etc. and it worked a treat!

MrsDoolittle · 22/05/2006 20:26

White vinegar is the other thing

MrsDoolittle · 22/05/2006 20:28

The drying time is fantastic

SoupDragon · 22/05/2006 20:30

Oooh... I don't know what to do... :o

MrsDoolittle · 22/05/2006 20:37

Same here Grin Grin
I keep looking at the nappymania site and thinking I'm going to get another 4. £60!!!

SoupDragon · 22/05/2006 20:40

Where did you get yours from before?

MrsDoolittle · 22/05/2006 20:42

Nappymania.

SoupDragon · 22/05/2006 20:45

Why do you think they don't have a logo on them and the ones pictured on the natural resource site do? It's bugging me :o

BonyM · 22/05/2006 20:46

Aha - knew you'd be converted.

I should be on commission Grin.

MrsDoolittle · 22/05/2006 20:59

I don't know. It came in a BumGenius packet and says so in it.
Btw the insert came out on it's own easily in the wash. It even unpopped!

SoupDragon · 22/05/2006 21:05

Mine was in a plastic bag with what looked like a photocopied paper insert... little things like this annoy me :)

Unpoppered too eh? How helpful of it :o

MrsDoolittle · 22/05/2006 21:22

Right - I have just bought 5, I shall have a total of 6.
I understand there are non available in America at the moment, even the manufacturers are out. Where did I get that from?

SoupDragon · 22/05/2006 21:30

I was told that by someone on a US site "jillians drawers".

SoupDragon · 22/05/2006 21:30

Mine doesn't mention Bumgenius inside the nappy at all btw.

TheFlameWhoWasAfraidOfTheDark · 23/05/2006 09:57

I don't think mine has any kind of name on it... I love the way the insert takes itself out in the wash Grin

I'm still trying to work out if I like the thing or not! I think I'm going to have to wait for a quiet day (pmsl - a quiet day???? does one exist????) and go for a scientific testing day so I can work out if all my issues are user related rather than nappy Wink

No soggy trousers yesterday, but the leg cuffs felt wet when I took them off... but it could have been feeling cold I guess!!!

If I could relax completely, then I think I'd love it.

Just been and looked at the colours, and had somehow thought they'd be nicer... I'd stick with white too I think!

TheFlameWhoWasAfraidOfTheDark · 23/05/2006 10:05

Looking at the two packs, I think I'd probably go for nappy mania, but then I never get round to using the washable wipes.

They have free postage too, and I'm not sure about NBR.

MrsDoolittle · 23/05/2006 11:17

How far are you stretching the tab across Flame. I bet you can pull it across alot more than you think. I think the fit on ds is oone of the best things about them.

Have you tried waffles?

BonyM · 23/05/2006 11:58

Flame - you should give washable wipes a go, I find them so much easier than disposable ones. I buy "Baby Bits" from andeeskoolkids.com which you just disolve in a mug of water and then pour over the wipes in a tub - bung them in with the nappies for washing.

MrsD - I hadn't heard of the waffle until you mentioned it, so googled it but the review weren't that good - would be interested to know what you think of it.

Fwiw, I bought my Bumgenius from NBR as it was the only stockist I could find at the time (actuallyl, it was an email from them that put me on to the bumgenius). Didn't have any problems with them.

Mine don't have any logos on them.
