cheese and babybel (
)
Has baby cheese been properly checked for tongue tie? so many seem to be missed by the mw checking, causing so much needless stress for everyone. Mind you, I have a friend whose baby had no tongue tie, just would't feed from breast for first few weeks so she expressed, and then she just suddenly got it, no apparent reason. Like midget I had lots of brilliant support - from specialist bf nurse in hosp, who was great for prem issues, and local bf volunteer supporters once home. I just kept asking.
scarecrow just read your chat thread too - am
for you
what a shitty time you've been having. my relationship with dp and my parents was seriously strained in early weeks (and to an extent since) - sometimes I wanted to shout at them all - I'm working 24/7 to look after baby s the best I can, I'm knackered, worried and a bit ill, can't someone just look after me a bit? (would have written that in caps, but would make me look a bit barking) Hope they all step up for you. Dont be embarassed about sharing too much - people forget chat, and on this thread we are all your friends (and will also forget details as our short term memories are f*ed by sleep deprivation)
cycle 2 hourly feeds sounds exhausting! fwiw when we were in scbu they told us didn't matter if some feeds were big, others smaller as long as they were frequent enough - although at the time weight was creeping up v.slowly at least. im sure it will begin to rise for you.
oh somewhere feel for your nursery worries, have no good advice - but surely they could have been more supportive - I guess their priority is a smooth running nursery, not your ds being himself, so I agree you should trust your instincts - he's only little, and has a new baby to get used to. I don't imagine I'll be that hot on discipline either, and am already turning out to be a soft touch lacking in balls all round re parenthood, so I expect i have this to come.
bbd I love your wise advice - even when it isn't for me :) you are always so soothing and calm. are you like that in RL? Hope so! Good to have news of VQ - I was wondering about her and little J.
Goat are you managing at work?
LRM you are not useless! CIO is really hardcore - no chance I could do it either. baby monkey just a troublesome napper atm - maybe sep anxiety kicking in? haha baby s had sep anxiety from day 1 - still my little shadow - doesn't even manage to have 'phases' of it.
Hi Knicky, midget, Mrs W, fireflies, chairman and any mums I have forgotten in addled-brained state.
afm, having a happy week, sleep a lot better, baby s charming everyone she meets, me and dp most of all. need to be thinking stategically about work and our future life - some big decisions to make, but brain feels so full of jelly am incapable - I just want to stay in this weird oasis of mat leave forever. I love cafes. Wow I've just managed a massive post.
