I can't see my little tiddler growing out of it by then Sad

Hope VQ and J are ok this morning

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 04/12/2012 12:27

Poor little J, VQ you must be stressed and exhausted, you've been through the mill with this one - thinking of you, really hope he is lots better soon.

Notgrown up, baby biscuit's sleep regression started at 4 months and has not stopped a year later so watch out! Grin last night she went to sleep at 9.45pm...

Notgrownupinmyhead · 04/12/2012 15:46

Ha ha biscuit chubby is 13m and just grown out of night feeds.

Thinking of ya VQ. Envy

BFG you have a choice of two, if you are happy to pay postage. Not planning a trip just yet. Would need to wait until the kids are well enough. Slight improvement in J this evening hopefully, after having a dreadful night and day. I wish he had been kept in but he was like this when they discharged him..

Anyway, there is a softish close weaved basket, or a really solid one which is like a cane chair with a fairly open weave. I will need to find the covers and hood plastic. The soft one has a handle that is splitting, but I would never carry a child in one anyway. They have both been well used, but could do another few kids. I can include the mattress. You can have both if you want! If you can pm me your email some time, I can send pics.

LeBFG · 05/12/2012 09:39

How is J this morning? Hopefully, he slept a bit last night.

Thanks for the offer - I'll PM you Smile

Notgrownupinmyhead · 05/12/2012 10:51

Mornin all. Just bought some new Alvas and they're selling fast.

Do you need anything else bfg?

Hows J today Valium? And you and yours Pp and Biscuit??

Im trying to get baby settling for the night at an earlier time than 10.30 so ive kept him awake a bit longer and woke him earlier. Hes only napping 30mins at a time though but doesn't seem grumpy with it.

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 05/12/2012 11:20

Morning all Brew

Today will mostly be spent convincing PidjChick that the world won't end if he sleeps in his crib. Dp and i are sleeping in shifts with him on us, it's getting silly and I'm determined to help him learn that little bit of independence now. He gets picked up and fed/winded/nappy changed as soon as he so much as whimpers unless I'm in the loo when he has to wait and we're making gradual progress - 35 minutes of waving his hand in front of his face in fascination this morning! :o

LeBFG · 05/12/2012 12:22

Pidj, he sounds just wonderful. Can't wait for my snuggly little chest sleeper to come (actually, yes I can wait!!!). How are the fluffs going?

Notgrown up - I remember those 30 naps - so fustrating! It's equivalent to one sleep cycle or something isn't it? Definately a sleep regression thing. It's almost like they just can't switch off properly. Weird really.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 05/12/2012 12:42

Yeah, iirc sleep cycles are 30-45mins. He'll sort himself out.

Pate and chocolate for lunch. Wink

Sounds like you are on the right track to sleeping independence pp.

Got the new tree coming at some point today too. Ill stick a note on the door for the courier just in case they show when im picking bossy boots up.

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 05/12/2012 12:43

We're on a 2 hour feed nappy sleep cycle. Loving the pockets stuffed with prefolds, more just arrived - poor Jim the postie got an eyeful as i waddled over still feeding :o

LeBFG · 05/12/2012 12:49

Grin at the postie - I've done that one before!!!

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 05/12/2012 13:39

There was a small head in the way, nothing too bad on display :o

Porridge with raisins and sugar is healthy lunch, right?

ValiumQueen · 05/12/2012 13:42

The postie caught me expressing today. I have had to to relieve some pressure. J seems a smidgen better today, although the coughing is hideous.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 05/12/2012 18:01

I was in the bath when the postie banged on the door, had bubbled all over my feet by the time id found my house coat and legged it to the door.

Glad to hear hes feeling a bit better, hopefully not toooo long now before hes well.

Mmmm porridge and raisins. Yum. And of course healthy!!

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 05/12/2012 18:46

Bwahahahahahahaha

Dp dished up dinner (he did his awesome mash to go with the stew i put in earlier) while i changed R's wet nappy. He'd just brought me mine when it became clear that another clean bum would be required...

And got the nearest we've come to a poosplosion

Bwahahahahahahahaha Xmas Grin

And i got to eat a hot dinner using both hands!

Notgrownupinmyhead · 06/12/2012 10:36

Mmmmm stew and mash. I havent a tube of glue what im going to make today. It will involve chicken. And maybe all purpose seasoning and actifry spicy wedges.

Im covered in dried figs. Thanks chubby.

Alvas have been dispatched and they'd sold out of the Spiderman ones. Booooooo.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 06/12/2012 10:56

Im crap at mash. Lumpy. Shock

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 06/12/2012 11:23

Me too which is why it's dp's job. Ditto yorkshire puddings :o

I think lamb burgers and dal or cous cous tonight

Notgrownupinmyhead · 06/12/2012 13:38

Mmm Lamb Burgers! Ill coat the chicken in the seasoning fry with veg and add tinned toms. I get the prep done at this time when the babies are asleep.

Is it snowing where you lot are? Its raining, cold and can see the snow in the sky.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 06/12/2012 13:39

How do you (or dp) make the Dal?

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 06/12/2012 14:35

Raining i think, but my heating's playing silly buggers so we're curled up in the living room with the fire on!

1 mug yellow split peas, 1 tin chick peas, 3 mugs water, 5 tsp various relevant spices eg cumin, curry, paprika, ginger, coriander, turmeric. Slow cooker 3+ hours.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 06/12/2012 17:02

Excellent I have them things! It sounds fit. Grin

My concoction was lush. Chubby chops ate all his which isn't a surprise and ds1 didn't like it which isn't new. Confused

Alvas shipped today, how long did they take to arrive VQ?

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 17:28

About 3 weeks if coming from china. Worth it though.

Having a dreadful time with J. He seems a bit better this afternoon, but he tends to be worse at night, as do they all.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 06/12/2012 17:34

Thanks, 3 weeks is good for me.

What about a humidifier for the room at night? When chubby was 10 days he got a horrendous chest infection and that seemed to help ease it.

What treatment did the hospital give him?

Have you got any help apart from DH?

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 19:19

Need to think about a humidifier. Have never had one. Dehumidifiers yes.

My mum is near, but she is 70 and a bit batty.

The hospital just assessed him by looking at him once every six hours for two seconds, waiting until he was asleep. He was hooked up to a monitor that kept alarming and nobody took a blind bit of notice of. His snot was sucked out and tested, hence diagnosis. Only took 10 minutes for results which was good. I felt happier there in case something happened. They sent him home before it peaked and was very scary. He seems a bit better today. Here's hoping.
