Ta cod.

Rules are;

No pull ups
Take don't ask
Shrimp sweetie for wee/poo in the pot plus cheering excitment.

Am I right, any others?

Don't worry am very persistent.

DD2 pooed her pants for 6 months. Was very lucky that playschool were very understanding and supportive .

Elibean · 18/02/2006 19:42

DH remembered to put dd on potty after breakfast, got a big wee in it - one smiley on chart, lots of excitement. dd was very surprised to see it in there - she doesn't seem to know when its happening, iyswim? But she will sit for quite a while, in hope
Also, she can't pull down her own trousers/tights yet - or up.
Am planning to keep putting her on pot after meals for a few days, but am assuming we can't do much more than that yet? Is that right?
Still much further than a week ago, when potties were for standing in....

no htats great
carry on

Passionflower · 19/02/2006 15:54

Started this morning.

OMG - thank goodness for wooden floors [drowning in piss emoticon]. Six wee accidents so far and counting. She will sit on the loo (with toddler seat on for quiet a while if bribed with a jelly baby and a story)

Am awaiting the poo accident with trepidation as she has a tendancy to be a bit loose. Gulp.

OK tally for the day.

6 wee accidents.
0 poo accidents, obviously saving up for a truely monumental one tomorrow
0 in potty/loo

She's not at all keen on potty (PITA cos we've only got upstairs loos) but will happily sit on loo in exchange for a jelly baby and is quite keen to poo in it. Keeps chanting "come on pooey come out of Lé Lé's bottom".

Was exhausted by it all and fell asleep on me on the sofa after bath.

Elibean · 19/02/2006 20:16

No pees in potty at all today, but am praising dd for sitting and trying. Bought some big girl pants in readiness for next stage, to show willing
Thanks for encouragement, cod...will keep going...

Elibean · 19/02/2006 20:16

Passionflower, you are brave and I am going to think of you when I eventually bite the bullet and lose the nappies...good luck with tomorrow's poo!

Passionflower · 19/02/2006 20:22

Cold turkey is quickest and best IME.

Elibean · 19/02/2006 22:35

Yes, I bet it is - but cold turkey is waiting for warmer weather in this house! DD is an early and fast talker, but walking and jumping and everything physical she's not done early...am worried about jumping the gun at 2.1 months. So we'll plod on with getting used to potty for a couple of weeks, then see about that turkey....
By which time, PF, you will have cracked it

Elibean · 19/02/2006 22:40

Erm, that would be 2.1 years....
She's only just learnt to jump, and still can't do stairs on her own. Or pull trousers up/down.

Passionflower · 20/02/2006 09:38

DD3 has decided that she is going to sit on the potty all morning today! Bribed her with a jelly baby to sit and she now won't get off! Hope something happens soon.

Elibean · 20/02/2006 10:18

HOw old is your dd3, Passionflower? Jellybabies...now there's a thought...wonder if polka dots would work (thats all I have in cupboard sweet-wise)

DS is now mainly reliably dry .

Pooing is another story though .

He doesn't seem to have any warning of it happening, although did say "maybe poo" in the bath last night and did an enormous one on the potty .
